Steven Spielberg‘s Jaws (1975) which is looking pretty good at the half century mark. And Robert Zemeckis’ Back to the Future (1985) the film that earned Marty McFly, Doc Brown and the DeLorean (the cyber truck of its era) permanent positions, in pop culture. What made them stand out back in the day? What about the parade of sequels that followed each of these films? For some reason, known only to network and streaming service executives, late spring often seems like a wasteland in the TV landscape, leaving even Tod struggling to find something to watch.
