    Research Scientist Emerita

    Dr. Janis Whitlock is a developmental psychologist, researcher, consultant, and emerita research faculty at Cornell University. She is the former Associate Director of the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research and founder of the Cornell Research Program on Self-Injury and Recovery, and has dedicated over four decades to understanding human development and consciousness. Her internationally recognized research spans connectedness, non-suicidal self-injury, suicide prevention, and youth-technology relationships, with over 70 published papers!

    Janis is co-host of the “Event Horizon” podcast with Darren King and Director of Research at the Visible College – a volunteer group of scholars conducting and promoting serious research into Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). She currently investigates consciousness and reality through multiple lenses, including the intersection of science and spirituality, particularly examining UAP and Non-Human Intelligence (NHI) as a window into expanded understanding of human potential and consciousness.

    She maintains the Self-Injury and Recovery Resources website while advancing crucial dialogue about humanity's adaptation to ontological shifts. Dr. Whitlock remains committed to fostering thriving youth and families while deepening our understanding of human consciousness and its role in individual and collective development.

    This is part 1 of 2 of our interview with Janis, where we dive into the current transitional state of the world and humanity amid rising turmoil and systems of control. However, there is light on the horizon! The UAP/NHI phenomena and their connection to spiritual and metaphysical awakenings among their mystical experiencers – grounded in consciousness – appear to be paving the way for a new reality centered around love and a more balanced interplay between divine feminine and masculine energetic archetypes
