Chalet La Marmotte Parte I

Emmanuel e il suo fotografo Gianni sono in alta montagna, a Les Deux-Alpes, per un servizio fotografico commissionato da una pellicceria. Il ragazzo però, inebriato dall'ambiente e dalla novità di quella situazione, non resiste alla tentazione di fare una discesa con Gianni sulle piste da sci, e quando i due tornano alla base è ormai troppo tardi per rientrare alle loro rispettive case.

Non resta altro da fare che pernottare in un rifugio, allo Chalet La Marmotte. Ma è rimasta una camera sola, e si sa che Gianni ha un debole per Emmanuel...

Emmanuel and his photographer Gianni are in the high mountains, in Les Deux-Alpes, for a photo shoot commissioned by a furrier. However, the boy, inebriated by the environment and the novelty of that situation, cannot resist the temptation to go down the ski slopes with Gianni, and when the two return to the base it is already too late to return to their respective homes.

There is nothing left to do but spend the night in a refuge, at the Chalet La Marmotte. But there is only one room left, and we know that Gianni has a weakness for Emmanuel...

The boy suddenly finds himself without any reference points in a world that is totally foreign to him, without any fault other than being a "little marmot", as Gianni affectionately calls him.

Emmanuel suffers more than expected. It remains to be seen whether the photographer will be able to do without him.

Il fotografo Gianni sta lanciando nel mondo della moda Emmanuel ventenne, bisognoso di soldi, ma qualcosa all'improvviso nel loro rapporto si inceppa. Il ragazzo si ritrova di colpo senza punti di riferimento in un mondo che gli è totalmente estraneo, senza alcuna colpa se non quella di essere un "marmottino", come lo chiama affettuosamente Gianni.

Emmanuel ne soffre più del previsto. Resta da capire se il fotografo riuscirà a fare a meno di lui.

Istruzioni per perdere un amore

Questo episodio chiude la prima stagione del podcast.

A volte capita di fare tutto il possibile per perdere un grande amore: forse perché siamo vili e pavidi, forse perché l'esperienza per noi è troppo impegnativa, forse perché... chissà.

Ma la persona che sa di avere suscitato questo grande amore non ci perdona la disattenzione e l'offensiva noncuranza con cui la trattiamo: questo suscita in lei un grande rancore, che non tarderà a manifestarsi presto e in genere con modalità traumatiche.

Emmanuel sa di essere stato (ed essere) il grande amore di Antonia, e non sa capacitarsi di come lei lo abbia messo alla porta, per poi riammetterlo in qualche modo nella vita propria e del loro figlio, Martino, ma senza mai ufficializzare il rapporto.

Antonia, a posteriori, rievoca il periodo trascorso con lui e riflette sugli incomprensibili errori che ha commesso, allontanando dalla sua vita il suo vero, grande amore.

This episode closes the first season of the podcast.

Sometimes we do everything we can to lose a great love: perhaps because we are cowards and timid, perhaps because the experience is too demanding for us, perhaps because... who knows.

But the person who knows they have aroused this great love does not forgive us for the carelessness and offensive nonchalance with which we treat them: this arouses great resentment in them, which will soon manifest itself and usually in traumatic ways.

Emmanuel knows he was (and is) Antonia's great love, and he cannot understand how she kicked him out, only to then somehow readmit him into her life and that of their son, Martino, but without ever making the relationship official.

Antonia, in retrospect, recalls the time spent with him and reflects on the incomprehensible mistakes she made, distancing her true, great love from her life.

Vacanza in montagna

Il piccolo Martino ha compiuto un anno: il giorno del suo compleanno, 29 marzo, si è svolta una piccola festicciola casalinga, alla quale ovviamente ha parteciparto anche Emmanuel, suo padre.

Il giorno seguente Michele, il fratello maggiore di Emmanuel, invita Antonia e il piccolo a trascorrere un paio di giorni in montagna, alla baita che ha affittato a San Sicario.

Si svolge fra i due ex-coniugi un dialogo piuttosto interessante.

Una giornata di Emmanuel

Una giornata-tipo del nuovo Emmanuel: convulsa, frenetica e insensata, come lo stesso ragazzo ammette, sconsolato, alla fine dell'episodio, sfogandosi con la buona Mayra.

Eppure c'è qualcosa di affascinante in questo caotico rincorrersi di esperienze dissonanti che è la sua nuova esistenza: semplicemente, dopo avere abbandonato la speranza di poter costruire un legame stabile e ufficiale con Antonia, Emmanuel avrebbe bisogno di trovare un punto fermo dal punto di vista sentimental-affettivo, che per lui è fondamentale.

Lo troverà presto e inevitabilmente, anche se ancora non lo sa.

A typical day for the new Emmanuel: hectic, frenetic and senseless, as the boy himself admits, disconsolate, at the end of the episode, venting with the good Mayra.

And yet there is something fascinating in this chaotic succession of dissonant experiences that is his new existence: simply, after having abandoned the hope of being able to build a stable and official relationship with Antonia, Emmanuel would need to find a fixed point from the sentimental-affective point of view, which is fundamental for him.

He will find it soon and inevitably, even if he doesn't know it yet.

Emmanuel, nel corso degli anni successivi al diario, stringe una profonda amicizia con Mayra, la sorella di Carlos, che considera una specie di proprietà privata, pur non essendo minimamente attratto da lei. Consapevole del fatto che lei lo ama, pur senza farsi illusioni, il ragazzo finisce spesso per "allargarsi" troppo, come in questo episodio, ambientato a San Valentino.

Mayra però è una donna orgogliosa e di carattere, e reagirà da par suo.

Emmanuel, over the years following the diary, forms a deep friendship with Mayra, Carlos' sister, whom he considers a sort of private property, even though he is not attracted to her in the least. Aware of the fact that she loves him, even without illusions, the boy often ends up "expanding" too much, as in this episode, set on Valentine's Day.

However, Mayra is a proud and strong-willed woman, and will react in kind.

Il rapporto tra Emmanuel e Antonia, legati anche dalla presenza del loro bambino, prosegue tra alti e bassi, ma qualcosa si è incrinato nell'animo del ragazzo, che incomincia ad avere seri problemi con il sesso.

Il suo tentativo di riavvicinarsi alla donna anche sessualmente lo lascia ogni volta più a disagio, com'è evidente in questa scena. Emmanuel non lo sa ancora, ma non riesce a perdonarle il fatto di averlo rifiutato come padre e come marito: le vuole bene, ma il suo animo è ferito e pieno di rancore. Nonostante questo il ragazzo si sforza di trovare un'altra dimensione possibile per il loro rapporto.

The relationship between Emmanuel and Antonia, also linked by the presence of their child, continues with ups and downs, but something has cracked in the boy's soul, who begins to have serious problems with sex.

His attempt to get closer to the woman, even sexually, leaves him increasingly uncomfortable, as is evident in this scene. Emmanuel does not know it yet, but he cannot forgive her for having rejected him as a father and as a husband: he loves her, but his soul is hurt and full of resentment. Despite this, the boy tries to find another possible dimension for their relationship.
