  • 'Early Edition' Host Trenni Casey on Training for 160-miles of the 'MS Run the US' Relay
    Jun 24 2025

You see Trenni Casey most nights talking sports on "Early Edition with Trenni" on NBC Sports Boston, But, for the last 6 months, she has been spending her mornings, and basically any time outside of the studio, training for her leg of "MS Run the US." The relay is America's first and only 3,260 mile ultra relay run to raise awareness and funds for MS research and aid those living with disabilities from the disease. Trenni's relay leg is just about 160 miles across her home state of Wisconsin. That's over a marathon a day! Today we dive in to:

    • Why Trenni signed up to be part of the relay and set a goal of $67,000
    • How her Aunt Sandy's diagnosis redirected her life and how organizations like MS run the US can be critical resources for those living with MS and their families
    • What training has looked like -- the build, miles/week, fueling, nutrition, mobility, etc
    • Her strategy to log the miles across the week
    • MS Rock & Run Fest at the finish line of Trenni's segment in Wisconsin
    • Biggest lesson she's learned about herself through training

  • "Tough As A Mother": Sports Broadcaster Jenn Hildreth on New Book, Celebrating Moms' Strengths & Redirection
    Jun 17 2025

I have no doubt you've heard Jenn Hildreth's voice coming from your TV a time or two before. The award-winning sports broadcaster has quite the resume -- from calling FIFA World Cup matches since 2015, Olympic soccer matches, and MLS and NWSL games to play-by-play for a variety of collegiate sports. She's done it all while raising two daughters with her husband. When she realized just how incredible working moms are for the way they do it "all," she wanted to talk about it....so she did! Together with her co-author Aimee Leone, they wrote "Tough as a Mother: Women in Sports, Working Moms, and the Shared Traits that Empower Us All." Today we dive in to:

    • What inspired Jenn to start writing this book during the early years of motherhood & how a redirection brought it to where it is today
    • The decision to share the pages with the voices of women like U.S. soccer star Alex Morgan, famed broadcaster Hannah Storm, and Olympic swimmer Dara Torres (listen to Dara's episode here)
    • 9 Tough Mother Tenets -- namely moxie
    • How the "right" choices are always "easy"
    • The big debate: can women have it all?
    • Having it all vs. Enjoying it all
    • Biggest lesson from her own mom

  • Fitness Pro Kendall Toole on New Chapter, Entrepreneurship, Mental Health & More
    Jun 10 2025

Kendall Toole knows how to pack a punch when it comes to programming a workout! This comes as no surprise given the fitness pro has been moving in some form since she was young. First it helped to drain the energy tank as a kid, later it became a space to find mental clarity, and now it's her career. Despite the change in reason for movement, her love for it has remained constant. The former Peloton instructor left the major platform about a year ago with gratitude for the experience, and is now embracing a new chapter. Today we dive in to:

    • The questions she asked herself while making the decision & how she knew she was ready for a change
    • Importance of embracing a beginner's mindset
    • Finding happy habits
    • How to draw the line between sharing and keeping things sacred
    • Lessons learned while building businesses (good, bad & funny!)
    • How the darkest time in her life helped her find her purpose
    • Mini look at what's to come with NKO Club & other businesses
