  • Receive the Holy Spirit
    Apr 27 2025
Receive the Holy Spirit | Jarod Smith, Lead Pastor In John 20, the resurrected Jesus breathes on His disciples and says, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” This sacred moment mirrors the Genesis account of God breathing life into Adam, symbolizing the disciples' spiritual rebirth—regeneration through the Holy Spirit. Jesus then immediately commissions them—not with power displays or signs—but with the divine mandate to forgive. This reveals a core truth: the Holy Spirit’s first work in us is not outward power, but inward freedom. The Greek word kekratēntai ("retained") implies that to withhold forgiveness is to retain the offense, to grip it tightly, which results in bondage—not just for the offender, but for the one holding on. Unforgiveness becomes a spiritual prison. But where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Cor. 3:17). Through personal story and Scripture, we see that forgiving people are freed people—not because others deserve it, but because Christ forgave us first. He didn’t just set us free from sin; He set us free to forgive sin. This is the Spirit-empowered path to healing, peace, and fruitfulness. ____ Partner with New Tribe: Give | https://newtribe.church/give/ ____ Connect with New Tribe: Website | https://newtribe.church/comeexperience/ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/newtribechurch Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/newtribechurch YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/newtribechurch

  • What Happened in the Garden | Easter 2025
    Apr 20 2025
What Happened In The Garden | Jarod Smith, Lead Pastor When Peter stepped into the tomb, he didn’t find chaos—he found order. The face cloth was folded and set apart, like a quiet declaration from Jesus: “I’m not done. I’m coming back.” It wasn’t just a burial detail—it was a priestly statement. Just like the High Priest left his garments behind when the work was finished, Jesus left behind the linen as a sign: Sacrifice accepted. Atonement complete. Death defeated. And in a garden—a place that echoes Eden—a woman named Mary heard her name called by the risen Jesus. Just one word, and her world changed forever. This message is a reminder: the garden story has been rewritten. The curse is broken. Jesus is alive. And your seat at the table is ready. ____ Partner with New Tribe: Give | https://newtribe.church/give/ ____ Connect with New Tribe: Website | https://newtribe.church/comeexperience/ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/newtribechurch Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/newtribechurch YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/newtribechurch

  • Victory Now
    Apr 13 2025
Victory Now | Jarod Smith, Lead Pastor Palm Sunday is more than a historical moment—it’s a prophetic reminder that Jesus didn’t come just to be celebrated, He came to conquer. The crowd’s cry of “Hosanna” was really “Yasha-Na,” a passionate shout of Victory Now. This message challenges us to shift from passive waiting to active believing—because in Jesus, victory isn’t just possible, it’s present. Whether it’s breakthrough, healing, deliverance, or restoration, the invitation is clear: you don’t have to wait for the right moment, the right season, or the right feeling. The King is here. And when Jesus shows up, the gates break open, graves lose their grip, and every enemy is put on notice. So what are we waiting for? Lift your voice. Raise your faith. Step into the moment and declare—Victory Now. ____ Partner with New Tribe: Give | https://newtribe.church/give/ ____ Connect with New Tribe: Website | https://newtribe.church/comeexperience/ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/newtribechurch Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/newtribechurch YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/newtribechurch

  • Higher Love
    Apr 6 2025
Higher Love | Jarod Smith, Lead Pastor This week’s message calls us into the tension of what it really means to serve like Jesus. After raising Lazarus from the dead, the crowds grow—but so does the opposition. Even Lazarus becomes a target just for being a living testimony. Like him, our resurrected lives speak louder than words. Jesus knew the weight of what was coming, yet He picked up a towel and served. He washed the feet of the denier, the doubter, and even the betrayer. That’s the kind of love He modeled—and commands us to show. It’s not about what we get out of serving; it’s about the honor of being with Jesus and doing what He did. Whether you’re parenting, serving at church, or just trying to love someone difficult, remember—someday they will understand. And God will not forget what you’ve done. ____ Partner with New Tribe: Give | https://newtribe.church/give/ ____ Connect with New Tribe: Website | https://newtribe.church/comeexperience/ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/newtribechurch Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/newtribechurch YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/newtribechurch

  • Reflection to Reflection
    Mar 30 2025
Reflection to Reflection In this week’s message, we looked at what it means to be a reflection of the true Light—Jesus. From John 8, Jesus confronts the Pharisees who believed they were enlightened but were actually casting shadows with their legalism and self-righteousness. Jesus boldly declares, “I am the light of the world,” and challenges them—and us—to consider what kind of light we’re reflecting. We’re reminded that we’re not the source of truth, but reflectors of it. Just like the moon reflects the sun, we’re called to reflect Jesus. And when we do, we bring light into dark places. But when we reflect fear, pride, or worry, we create blind spots for others. Jesus offers freedom, not burden. The more we reflect Him, the more that freedom grows. ____ Partner with New Tribe: Give | https://newtribe.church/give/ ____ Connect with New Tribe: Website | https://newtribe.church/comeexperience/ Instagram | / newtribechurch Facebook | / newtribechurch YouTube | / newtribechurch

  • How Much Do You Weigh
    Mar 16 2025
God’s glory is not just something we admire—it’s something we are meant to carry! The Bible describes His glory as weighty (kavod), powerful, and transforming. When Jesus spoke of rivers of living water flowing from within believers, He was pointing to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, filling us with God’s presence and power. Moses longed to see God’s glory, and under the new covenant, we don’t just witness it—we are being transformed by it! 2 Corinthians 3:18 tells us that we are going from glory to glory, becoming more like Him. The question is: are we living for the wait or the weight of God’s glory? Today, step onto the scale—spiritually speaking—and boldly ask, “Now show me Your glory.” In our series, "Beloved: The Gospel According to John", we journey through the life, ministry, and divine nature of Jesus Christ as revealed in the most intimate and theological of the Gospels. Through John’s firsthand account, we witness the love of God made flesh, the miracles that point to His identity, and the deep conversations that call us into a closer relationship with Christ. This series will unpack themes of light and darkness, belief and doubt, love and sacrifice—inviting us to see Jesus not just as the Savior of the world, but as the One who personally calls us His beloved. ____ Partner with New Tribe: Give | https://newtribe.church/give/ ____ Connect with New Tribe: Website | https://newtribe.church/comeexperience/ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/newtribechurch Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/newtribechurch YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/newtribechurch

News Feeds & Thirst Traps Today, we face the question: What are we really feeding on? Jesus tells us in John 6:56, “Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.” The world keeps us thirsting for more—more distraction, more validation—but Jesus tells us He is the only one who truly satisfies.
