  • The Vanishing of Emma Prescott Narrated by Tony Grace
    Apr 15 2025
Summary:In this episode of Narrated By The Veterans Club: The Cold Case Files, host Tony explores the chilling 2012 disappearance of Dartmouth student Emma Prescott, who vanished after leaving a party. Her neatly placed belongings found in a snowbank led to theories ranging from an accident or abduction to voluntary disappearance. Emma's case deeply impacted her family and the Hanover community, and despite extensive investigation, it remains unsolved, leaving loved ones still searching for answers.About The Narrator:Anthony (Tony) Christopher Grace is a lifelong resident of Idaho, born in Coeur d'Alene and raised in Post Falls. Diagnosed with epilepsy at just 16 months old, Tony faced numerous challenges from a young age. Despite the difficulty in controlling his seizures, which necessitated special and often private schooling, Tony remained active in his community, participating in Boy Scouts until age 18 and pursuing a hobby as a remote control airplane pilot. At 18, he was granted full disability. In his early twenties, Tony achieved a significant milestone when his seizures were controlled well enough for him to drive, work, and live independently. However, his capacity for physical work remained limited due to the side effects of his medication, leading him through various jobs from movie theaters to grocery and liquor stores. One side effect—kidney stones—prompted a search for alternative medications. Although a new treatment initially reduced the kidney stones, his seizures returned, culminating in a severe incident where Tony lost control of his car during a grand mal seizure, resulting in the revocation of his driving privileges.Throughout these trials, Tony maintained a positive outlook and an active, inquisitive mind, always exploring new possibilities. His venture into entrepreneurship began with a triple-head gum-ball machine, followed by a mini claw vending machine, which he managed until the closure of his location made continuing the business untenable.Recently, Tony discovered a new passion—voice acting. With initial curiosity evolving into genuine enthusiasm through several successful lessons, Tony is now eagerly developing his voice acting skills. This new endeavor is not only a testament to his resilience but also aligns with The Veterans Club's Narrated By initiative, which aims to empower individuals facing life challenges to make a positive impact on the visually impaired community. Voice acting has significantly brightened Tony's outlook on life, offering him not just a creative outlet but also the potential for a new income-generating skill. As his parent, it is immensely fulfilling to see Tony embrace this opportunity and thrive in a role that enhances his confidence and independence.About The Author:Ed Bejarana is a storyteller, voice actor, and veteran dedicated to bringing engaging narratives to life through Narrated By The Veterans Club. Embarrassing to Veterans

The concept of benefiting Veterans is amazing, however, this podcast feels exploitative and does a poor job fulfilling this goal. By featuring Ed Bejaranan and being sponsored by Zenith Exhibits, the podcast takes a radical turn against American values like free speech.
Additionally, the quality of the stories, sound production, and cadence of the podcast is poor.
I’d recommend finding something else to listen to

The voice of fascism

When I saw this was narrated by Ed Bejarana, I knew I had the right podcast. His smooth delivery is exactly what we need as a carnival barker at town hall meetings where young women are brutally removed from the room by unnamed private security while he cheers and excited crowds and intimidates opposition. I just can't get enough of his cheering on of the oppression of people he doesn't agree with. I'm sure he will need to do another 40 podcasts to pay his legal fees as he is a prolific Podcaster here on audible.
