  • Ep 31. Awakening the Sacred Feminine & Conscious Masculine: A Journey into Purpose & Wholeness w/ Chela Rie

This episode marks a really special moment—it’s the first one I’ve recorded with a guest since becoming a father, and it feels like the beginning of a whole new chapter for the Love Is Our Nature Podcast.

I’m joined by my beautiful friend Chela, a Costa Rican healer, therapist, moon dancer, astrologer, doula, and all-around embodiment of feminine wisdom. We dive deep into the mysteries of womanhood, nature, and ancestral remembrance—and how they can support us in returning to a more connected, purposeful life.

We also talk about the importance of healing the masculine, and I share some of my own journey—especially with men’s work and the calling I’ve felt to support other brothers on the path.

This conversation is filled with reflections on:

    • How Mother Earth is speaking to us—and how to actually listen
    • The sacred role of women as space holders and cycle keepers
    • How disconnection from nature and feminine essence has shaped modern society
    • The healing power of plant medicine, breathwork, and ceremony
    • Why it takes courage to step into your next evolution

🌿 This episode is also a soft invitation to join us in June for something really special…

From June 7–14, Chela and I will be co-hosting parallel retreats at Anamaya Resort in Montezuma, Costa Rica:

Essentia: A Sanctuary to Rise Into Your Highest Feminine Essence (Women’s Retreat with Chela & Paloma)

If you’re feeling the call to deepen into your essence, to shed what no longer serves you, and to step fully into your voice, truth, and power—we’d love to walk beside you on that journey.

    With love from the jungle,
    César

  • Ep 30. Follow Your Heart, Even If It Makes No Sense w/ Ben Gabin
    Apr 18 2025

    Send us a text

This is a special episode from the "lost archives" of the Love Is Our Nature Podcast, recorded back in October of 2022.

In this episode of the Love Is Our Nature Podcast, I sit down with one of my dear brothers, Ben Gabin. We recorded this in-person here in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica—on a gorgeous day overlooking the ocean, hummingbirds flying by—and the vibes were on point.

We dive into creativity, connection, conscious living, and courage. Ben shares how freestyle rap helped him unlock new levels of joy and self-expression (you’ll even hear us drop a little flow at the end). But the heart of our conversation is something much deeper: how to recognize when a chapter in life is closing… and find the strength to choose a path that feels more aligned with your heart.

Ben shares his powerful story about healing his relationship with his father, the moment abundance began flowing into his life, and how a recent breakthrough helped him finally walk away from a leadership track that no longer felt true for him—even though it meant leaving something he loved and believed in.

We talk about that often-difficult place of discernment: how do you know whether it's fear speaking, or your higher self showing you a new path? And what do you do when you don’t have a clear roadmap forward—only an inner knowing that something else is calling?

We also jam about brotherhood, conscious masculinity, retreat life, and letting go of “the plan” in order to follow the mystery. This episode ends with something special: a song and a reminder to trust yourself and jump.

Whether you're feeling stuck, in transition, or on the edge of a big decision, I think you’ll find something valuable here.

Let this be your invitation to slow down, listen in, and follow your heart.

    – Cesar

    Highlights:

    • Ben’s journey from freestyle car sessions to freestyle healing
    • How a conversation with his dad unlocked abundance
    • Walking away from a leadership path (even when it “makes sense”)
    • Discernment vs. fear: learning to listen to the body
    • Costa Rica retreat magic & conscious brotherhood
    • A live ukulele song + rhyme from the heart

  • Ep 29. Understanding Trauma, the Body, and Healing with Hebe Dickins
    Feb 28 2025

    Send us a text

    Episode Overview:

In this episode, I have the absolute pleasure of sitting down with Hebe Dickins, a somatic therapist, energy psychologist, and yoga and meditation teacher. Hebe’s journey started in the world of acting, but her deep curiosity about the mind-body connection led her into the fields of trauma healing, energy psychology, and somatic therapy.

We dive deep into what trauma really is, how it can show up in our lives (often without us realizing it), and the power of the body in processing and healing emotional wounds. Whether you've explored somatic work before or are just hearing about it for the first time, this episode will give you a fresh perspective on the ways trauma can manifest and how we can reconnect with ourselves through the body.

    What We Discuss:

    • What trauma really is and how it affects the nervous system
    • The difference between “talk therapy” and somatic therapy
    • Why so many people feel “stuck” and how trauma can be at the root of it
    • The body’s role in storing and processing trauma
    • How trauma can impact relationships, intimacy, and self-worth
    • Ways to tell if you’re embodied or disconnected from your body
    • Practical steps to start reconnecting with your body and emotions
    • The importance of honoring our nervous system’s capacity and not pushing beyond our limits
    • How Hebe's own journey with trauma healing has shaped her work today

How to Know if Trauma is Affecting You

Hebe shares some key signs that you might be carrying unresolved trauma in your body:

    • You feel stuck in life, unable to move forward despite wanting to.
    • You experience chronic stress, fatigue, or a feeling of "shutting down".
    • You tend to be in a constant state of hypervigilance or overthinking.
    • You struggle with intimacy, emotional numbness, or disconnection from loved ones.
    • You feel like you’re always on autopilot, disconnected from your emotions or physical sensations.

If any of these resonate with you, Hebe offers insight into gentle, body-based healing approaches that can help.

How to Start Reconnecting with Your Body:

    • Pay attention to your body signals. Start noticing when you feel tension, numbness, or ease.
    • Engage in body-based practices. This could be as simple as stretching, yoga, dance, or breathwork.
    • Ask yourself, "What's great about this that I'm not getting?" This question can shift your perspective when facing challenges.
    • Slow down and practice self-compassion. Your body is always working for you—listen to what it’s trying to say.

    Final Thoughts:

This conversation with Hebe was rich, insightful, and deeply grounding. If you’ve ever felt disconnected from your body, struggled with unprocessed emotions, or wanted a deeper understanding of trauma and healing, this episode is for you.

I hope you take something valuable from it and, most importantly, give yourself
