    The Red Sox and Guardians split a doubleheader Saturday at Progressive Field in Cleveland. The Guardians came-from-behind and won the opener, 5-4. The Red Sox jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the nightcap and ended up winning, (7-3). Walker Buehler improved his record to 4-1 with the victory in Game 2. The Game 2 victory also ended the Red Sox 3-Game losing streak. -----Game 1 Recap: The Red Sox lost Game 1 of the doubleheader, 5-4 Saturday afternoon, Wilyer Abreu hit a 3-run Home Run in the 1st Inning, but Tanner Houck gave up 4 runs in the bottom of the 1st. Rafael Devers tied the game at 4-4 with a solo Home Run in the 3rd, it was his 3rd of the season. Cleveland got the go-ahead and what turned out to be the winning run in the bottom of the 6th Inning off reliver Brennan Bernardino. The Red Sox were 1-for-11 with Runners In Scoring Position and left 2 runners on in the Top of the 9th. -----Stealing Home: Jarren made it 5-0 in the 3rd Inning of the nightcap with an RBI Triple. Duran made it 6-0 on a straight steal of Home with Rafael Devers at the plate. It's the 1st time that a Red Sox player has had a straight steal of home since Jacoby Ellsbury did it (16 years to the day) against the Yankees on April 26, 2009. -----#'s of the NIGHT: Alex Cora managed his 1,000th game with the Red Sox in Game 1 of the Doubleheader. Cora is the 5th manager to manage 1,000 or more games in club history. The Red Sox were kept in the park in the night game and their streak of at least 1 Home Run in a season-high 12 straight games (19- Total) came to an end. With the win in Game 2, the Red Sox improved to 5-1 in Buehler's starts this season. The Red Sox also improved to 9-2 when scoring 5 or more runs in a game. -----What's On Tap?: The Red Sox conclude their 3-Game Series with the Guardians Sunday afternoon. Brayan Bello is expected to make his 2nd start of the season. After the series wraps on Sunday, the Red Sox will have a scheduled off day Monday and then will open up a 3-game series in Toronto on Tuesday.     The Red Sox wrapped up their series with the Mariners and lost the finale, 4-3 Thursday afternoon at Fenway. The Red Sox won the opener Tuesday night and lost the next 2 and finished 4-3 on their homestand against the Chicago White Sox and Mariners. The Red Sox never led in the finale and Seattle got on the board 1st in all 3 games, scoring at least 1 run in the 1st Inning in all 3 games. -----Not at His Best- Garrett Crochet gave up 2 runs in the 1st and 2 more in the 2nd Inning against the Mariners Thursday. The 4 earned runs allowed are a season-high for the lefty. Crochet worked his only 1-2-3 inning in the 3rd. He allowed 2 base runners and struck out 3 in the 4th and did the same in the 5th Inning. He ended up throwing 110 Pitches and exited with the Red Sox trailing, 4-2. Crochet's Final Line- 5.0 IP. 5 Hits. 4 R. 4 ER. 5 BB. 9 K. -----Duran's Hit Streak: Jarren Duran extended his hit streak to 11 straight games with a 1-out Double in the 3rd Inning and he would score on a 2-out RBI Single off the bat of Alex Bregman. Duran went 1-for-4 on the day and has 13 hits during his current hit streak. -----#'s of the NIGHT: With Alex Bregman hitting a 2-out, solo Home Run in the 1st Inning, the Red Sox have hit at least 1 Home Run in 11 straight games (17- Total). Carlos Narvaez homered in the 8th, his 2nd on the season. The Sox have now homered in a season-high 11 in a row after going 6 straight games without going Yard. The Red Sox are now 4-2 in Crochet's 1st 6 starts with both losses at Fenway. -----What's On Tap?: The Red Sox are on the road for their next 6 Games.
