Initially, the series had a lighter, more comedic tone, with George being a "freelance troubleshooter" involved in a variety of cases, including romantic and family dramas. However, it quickly evolved into a suspenseful, tough-guy private eye series, dealing with murders, blackmail, kidnappings, and other crimes. George Valentine was portrayed as an intelligent, thinking man who preferred analytical investigation to brute force.Main Cast:
  • George Valentine: Primarily played by Bob Bailey, who later gained further fame as the lead in "Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar." Olan Soule took over the role in the final year (1954).
