  • Sione Tuipulotu is the Centre of Attention as KOKO Finalise their Locked in Lions
    May 6 2025

This week on The KOKO Show the lads were plagued with a serious case of Les Kiss fever, but they didn't seem to be that phased by this particular ailment, as they delivered a wall to wall recap of the week that was in World Rugby. Firstly, the boys addressed the new appointment of Les Kiss as the next Wallabies coach, a decision that buoyed the boys and got them all a little hot under the saddle blanket for the future of Australian Rugby.

To help the fellas through the ups and downs of Les Kiss fever, we enlisted a very special guest to add some much needed star power to our very pedestrian weekly production. That is right, this week we are joined by the Frankston firecracker, Melbourne’s man of marble and now Glasgow’s benevolent bulldozer. So, please welcome Scotland’s captain and Australia’s one that got away, Mr Sione Tuipulotu. Sione and the lads chewed the fat about all things footy, from what it was like leaving Australia for Scotland, his recovery from a peck injury and what it would feel like to be given the honour to play for the British and Irish Lions.

Finally, the crew give you their tangy yet tasteful takeaways from the week of rugby, touching on week 12 of the Superb season, the Wallaroos’ big win over Fiji and all the action from the European Champions Cup Semi-Finals. Lastly, to put a big fat bow on what has been a constant segment for the show all year, the lads finally cement their lucky 37 as we finalise our squad of Locked In Lions. So knock back a couple of downers, put on your compression socks and talk shit to your flight attendant, this metal bird is taking to the skies and boy it is going to be a bumpy fucking ride. It is time for an all new Kick Offs and Kick Ons.

  • Ben Donaldson is a Perfect Ten, Adding a Little Credibility and Heaps of Hair to the KOKO Show
    Apr 29 2025

This week on The KOKO Show the boys regroup after a big ANZAC Weekend and they reflect on all the magnificent footy that was played in round 11 of the Superb Rugby, whilst also looking forward to the final five weeks of the season and predicting which team will come out on top. In a weekend where the Brumbies had a stumble, the Reds caught fire, the Savea brothers kicked ass and the Chiefs still reigned supreme, the lads had their work cut out for them, as they tried to make sense of this topsy turvy 2025 season. To round out this robust rugby recap the lads debuted a new segment called ‘The Transfer Tracker’, where the boys gave their immediate reactions and dissections to all of the big player moves both in Australian Rugby and around the world. That’s right the KOKO Crew is giving you a big old ‘RA RA’ wrap to fill up your Ozempic tainted tummies and of course, we always wash it down with a pint of our finest ice cold shit talk.

Plus, Ladies and Gents that is not all, to add some much needed credibility to this rumbling bumbling poor excuse of a podcast, the lads enlisted the help of the best number 10 in Australia. No, it isn’t Noah Lolesio, nor is it Lawson Creighton and we couldn’t make Tommy Lynagh’s monetary deal, so in reflection we got what we got. Nonetheless please welcome the hairiest handler of balls in the business, it is the one and only Mr Ben Donaldson. Moreover, Benny takes us through why the Force are fighting for every inch in 2025, what he really thinks of Carlo Tizzano and how excited he is about hopefully taking on the British and Irish Lions this year.

So sit back, relax, elevate your gout riddled feet, peel a couple of leftover choccy eggs and suck back on an ice cold Crown Lager. It is time to get fancy as f#*k and tune into an all new episode of Kick Offs and Kick Ons.

  • Billy Pollard Hunts for Easter Advice on KOKO whilst Super Rugby Twists and Turns Yet Again
    Apr 22 2025

This week on The KOKO Show we celebrated the Easter Break with a rip snorter of an episode that really rolled the stone away and allowed the lads to sink their teeth into a wonderful weekend filled with choccy eggs and fantastic friggin footy. The boys get down and dirty hunting for all the little bits and bobs from the Women’s Super Rugby Champions Final that saw the Blues defeat the Waratahs, they got stuck into week 10 of the Superb Rugby as we head into the final couple of months and finally they fastened down the last three ‘Locked in Lions’ on our very special whiteboard.

Plus, it wouldn't be an Easter special without a guest that somewhat resembles a delicious little Lindt Ball, so we brought in Canberra’s really bad bunny and one of our favourite bucking Brumbies, Mr Billy ‘found love in a hopeless place’ Pollard. With Billy in tow we dissect how the Brumbies are bulldozing their way into finals contention, his desire to play a big part in the upcoming Lions Series and why James Slipper has become a bit of a bully in his twilight years.

So pop on your bunny ears, fluff up that cotton tail and put yourself in a compromising yet sexy position on the kitchen table. It is time to be a raunchy little rabbit this Easter, whilst enjoying the latest episode of Kick Offs and Kick Ons. You are most welcome our chummy yummy bunnies!

  • Pierre Schoeman Packs in Tight with KOKO as we Dive Into a Wonderful Week of Footy
    Apr 15 2025

This week on The KOKO Show we get our Swoopy back from his impromptu golfing trips to make the group whole again as we break down a wonderful week that was in the world of rugby. The lads came together to run a fine tooth comb through the Super Rugby W Final that saw the Tahs tackle the Reds at North Sydney Oval, to make it back to back chips in 2024 and 25. Plus, we go large on round 9 of the Superb Rugby Pacific, highlighting the Brumbies big win over the Reds, the Tahs toppling the challenging Chiefs and the Crusaders taking their rightful place back on top of the Super ladder. Moreover, the boys go full business mode as they tackle all the hard hitting topics in a saucy smattering of Other Rugby News.

However, the highlight of Episode 17 has to be our very special guest, all the way from the fortified walls of Edinburgh Castle with his new Whiskey in hand and donning a gorgeously snug pair of togs, it is Scotland’s South African chunky chappy Mr Pierre Schoeman. We discuss everything from the state of rugby north of the wall, what it was like growing up in South Africa and now proudly playing for Scotland and finally his delicious little side business he shares with teammate and friend Duhan van der Merwe.

So sit back, relax and hook up your IV drip full of Hirundine Whiskey and just let those mellow smokey notes of four flogs trying to make a rugby pod fill your gills with glee. Because it is time for episode 17 of Kick Offs and Kick Ons.

  • Tom Hooper Turns KOKO Country and the Boys Wrestle with a ‘What’s Drewing?’
    Apr 8 2025

This week on The KOKO Show the boys are dealing with some post Hong Kong hardships and Swoop forgot to tell us that he was off to NZ to play golf. However, the remaining members of our merry band go in deep and dark to tackle the world of footy as we look at the Superb Rugby, Superb W, the Singapore Sevens and Drew has a bone to pick with the European Champions Cup in a brand new ‘What's Drewing?’.

Plus, we are joined by one of Australia's best young backrowers, a man that is making the Brumbies buck in 2025 with his ample sized Bathurst born body, please enjoy our time with Mr Tom Hooper. With Tommy in toe we discuss everything from his fine form in the Superb Rugby, his aspirations of playing in the Lions Series and all the way through to his impending exodus to Exeter. Lastly, we jot down a few more of our lucky ‘Lock in Lions’ and as the list is getting more full by the day there might have to be a small KOKO cull in the coming weeks, before the lads release their finalized squad officially.

So throw down a six-pack of dim sum to lift the energy levels and shake your hips like you are the only person having a go in Wan Chi, it is time for a heart stopping body popping episode of Kick Offs and Kick Ons.

  • KOKO Delivers Another Hong Kong Sevens Spectacular with Habana, Quirk, Big Jim and Andy Goode
    Apr 2 2025

As advertised, the KOKO Crew took on the Hong Kong Sevens for the second year in a row and some people doubted our commitment to the cause, but let the record show we came, we saw and we most certainly survived. Thanks to the Discover Hong Kong (Hong Kong Tourism Board), Cathay Pacific and Ovolo Hotels for giving the show another phenomenal experience of lifetime. This tour will most certainly go down in the KOKO history books as a rip roaring success, we went to the Hong Kong Football Club for a night of laughs with Jim Hamilton and Andy Goode, had a day of childish laughs on the rides at Ocean Park Hong Kong, enjoyed some delicious food With Virginia Chan, took in sights and sounds of the Pottinger Street Market and we soaked up all the seriously spicy rugby action from the 10s and the 7s across the week.

With the Hong Kong Sevens entering a new era at the sleek, sparkling and simply sensational Kai Tak Sports Park the balance between nostalgia and reinvention was perfectly on point. Due to the allure of the all new Hong Kong Sevens, throughout the weekend, the boys were joined by an array of rugby royalty including Bryan Habana, Alicia Quirk, Jamie Roberts and the aforementioned ‘Big Jim and Goodey’. Plus, we were allowed into the bowels of Kai Tak Stadium to see how the teams prepare in their brand new digs and we cap off the episode with a dash of debauchery, in our newest instalment of the ‘KOKO Carnage’.

This show is the perfect blend of naughty and nice, showcasing the eternal struggle of which side will come out on top. However, ladies and gentlemen the answer is simple, KOKO always finishes on top. For another year the beauty and vibrancy of Hong Kong is regrettably now in the rear vision mirror, but as we build through 2025 and navigate the British and Irish Lions as well as all the other international fixtures around the world, this little pod will always have one eye on the ‘Pearl of the Orient’.

So sit back, relax, deactivate the secret Airtags you had on your loved ones who attended the Sevens (in our case Holiday Swoop) and simply revel in the beauty that is KOKO on tour. We present Kick Offs and Kick Ons the Hong Kong Experience.

    Mar 25 2025

This week on The KOKO Show the guys are gearing up for another round of slaying the dragon in Hong Kong. They are fired up to rock the Hong Kong Sevens to its core, having said that blind Freddy could see the air of apprehension and fear pouring off the fellas. There will be stories told, lessons learnt and fun to be had, the lads will be galvanised once again on the road to podcasting superstardom.
