I’m excited to share some insights about Kajabi that can help you improve your pages. Recently, I’ve talked about spacing, moving elements, and organizing pages. Today, I want to focus on design tips, specifically how to create a clean, effective Call to Action (CTA) bar and how to use Kajabi’s saved sections to maintain consistency across your site. Building Pages from Scratch vs. Using Templates When I build pages, I usually start from scratch rather than using templates. Templates can be helpful if they closely match your needs and you just want to swap out text and images. However, if you want a custom look that fits your brand or client, starting fresh is often better. This approach gives you more control over the layout and design. Creating a Thin CTA Bar One design element I love is the thin CTA bar. It’s perfect for adding a lead magnet form or a simple call to action, such as moving visitors from a sales page to a checkout page. This bar is a narrow section with two content blocks: A text box (usually 2 or 3 width units) for a brief messageAn inline form (7 or 8 width units) with name and email fields side by side To create this, set the form to “inline” so the input fields appear horizontally. Remove any text labels inside the form fields so only the input boxes show. Adjust the inside and outside spacing of both blocks to keep the section thin and neat. Add a solid background color that complements your page design. This bar can be placed at the bottom of any page or used as a visual break between sections. It’s a simple, elegant way to highlight your lead magnet or CTA without overwhelming the page. Using Kajabi’s Saved Sections for Consistency Kajabi’s saved sections feature is a powerful tool when building a website with multiple pages. If you want to draw attention to the same lead magnet or CTA across your homepage, about page, contact page, blog, and other landing pages, you can create a full saved section with your message and form. Once saved, you can easily insert this section anywhere on your site. This helps maintain design consistency and reinforces your main call to action throughout your website, boosting visitor awareness and engagement. Conclusion Give the thin CTA bar a try on your next Kajabi page, and explore saved sections to keep your site cohesive and focused. Thanks for tuning in, and happy Kajabi building!

Today, we’re focusing on how to organize sections within your Kajabi pages. While last week’s episode covered content blocks and how to move them around, this time we’ll explore the settings that control the layout and alignment of the sections that hold those blocks. Mastering these settings will help you create clean, visually appealing pages that look great across all devices. Let’s dive in! Kajabi Section Organization Overview In Kajabi, sections are the containers for your content blocks, and they come with powerful layout options. Understanding how to use vertical and horizontal alignment settings can dramatically improve the look and feel of your pages. Vertical and Horizontal Alignment Settings Within the desktop layout settings of a section, you’ll find two key dropdown menus: vertical alignment and horizontal alignment. Vertical Alignment: Choose from Top, Center, or Bottom. Top alignment works especially well for text or feature boxes, ensuring that headings line up perfectly across the section for a neat and professional appearance.Horizontal Alignment: Options include Left, Center, Right, Space Between, and Space Around.Space Between pushes your content blocks to the far edges of the section, with space evenly distributed between them.Space Around creates equal spacing around each block, giving a balanced, “bubble-like” effect.Experiment with these settings and use content-specific outside spacing adjustments to fine-tune your layout. Full Width and Full Height Section Settings Two additional settings enhance your section’s visual impact: Full Width: This setting stretches your content to the very edges of the browser window. It’s perfect for images or sections where you want a bold, edge-to-edge look regardless of screen size.Full Height: This makes the section fill the entire height of the viewer’s browser window. It’s ideal for “above the fold” images or scenes that grab attention and encourage visitors to scroll down. Background Image Positioning Tips When adding background images to a section, you can set the image position to Top, Middle, or Bottom in the background settings. To avoid important parts of your image being cropped on different screen sizes—especially portraits—try cropping your image with extra space above the subject’s head. Then set the background position to Top. This ensures the top of your image stays visible, while any cropping happens at the bottom, keeping your visuals consistent across devices. Conclusion By experimenting with these section settings in Kajabi, you can create beautifully aligned, responsive pages that look great on any screen. Thanks for tuning in, and be sure to join us next week for more helpful Kajabi tips!

Today, we’re focusing on page organization and how you can move and control the placement of elements within a section on your Kajabi page. This episode primarily covers working with text blocks, feature blocks, and similar content elements. Understanding Blocks and Width Settings When editing your Kajabi page—whether it’s a landing page, website page, or funnel page—you’ll see that all your content blocks are organized within sections. At the top of each block, there are blue boxes labeled with width values from 1 to 12. These numbers are your primary tool for sizing blocks: Smaller numbers make the block narrower.Larger numbers make the block wider. Kajabi arranges content in rows, with each row totaling 12 width units. For example, if you have four text boxes set to a width of 3 each (3 x 4 = 12), they’ll fit perfectly on one row. If the combined width exceeds 12, the extra blocks automatically move to the next row. Row Controls and Desktop Layout Within the desktop layout settings for each block, there’s an option labeled "Place on its own row." This allows you to force a specific piece of content to occupy an entire row by itself, giving you more control over the layout. Managing Spacing: Inside and Outside To further refine your page layout, Kajabi offers inside and outside spacing controls in both desktop and mobile layouts: Outside Spacing: This is padding on the outside of a block. You can adjust it vertically or horizontally, using positive or negative values. Positive values push the block away from the edge; negative values pull it closer. For example, setting an outside spacing of 100 on one side acts like adding an empty block there.Inside Spacing: This controls the space between the content and the frame of the block itself. It’s especially useful if your text overlaps a background image, making it hard to read. Adjusting inside spacing can move the text away from the image for better visibility. Advanced Layout Tips Combining inside and outside spacing allows you to precisely position your content. For example, to overlay an image block with a text block, you can use negative outside spacing (like -500 on the top) to pull the text up and overlap it with the image above. This technique is powerful for creating layered visual effects. Practice and Experimentation Getting comfortable with these settings takes a bit of practice. Experiment with different width values and spacing options to see how they impact your page’s appearance. Adjusting these metrics helps you achieve the exact visual design you want. Conclusion Today’s episode focused on how to use content-level settings like width, inside spacing, and outside spacing to control the layout of your Kajabi pages. Mastering these tools allows you to create visually appealing and well-organized sections, whether you’re working with text, images, or feature blocks. While it may take some practice to get comfortable with these settings, experimenting with different combinations will help you achieve the exact look you want. In our next episode, we’ll dive deeper into section-level controls, which serve as the backbone for how your entire section is structured and displayed. Stay tuned to learn how to further enhance your page design and user experience!
