  • Alan Katz Loves Horror
    Jun 30 2025

In this episode, I am very excited to welcome writer/producer Alan Katz, who helped make one of the best horror TV shows, "Tales from the Crypt" so amazing. We deep dive into Alan's career within "Tales from the Crypt", writing episodes, creating the personality for The Cryptkeeper, making the movies from "Tales from the Crypt" like "Demon Knight" as well as "Bordello of Blood", and much more.

We get into a lot of amazing things in this episode like the process of making these horror projects behind the scenes, drama with one big Hollywood actor who ditched his girlfriend by having her be in the movie, demanding executives, cancelled projects and the effect all this had on Alan. All of which lead him to do what he now loves, podcasting. He has made many of his shows like the "How to not make a movie" podcast available for everyone to enjoy.
