    Sue and Kendra talked with Dr. Ann Burgess, a forensic nurse and professor at Boston College whose groundbreaking work has profoundly influenced the fields of victimology, trauma care, and criminal profiling. In the 1970s, Dr. Burgess co-founded one of the nation's first hospital-based crisis counseling programs for rape victims at Boston City Hospital. Her innovative approach caught the attention of the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit, leading to collaborations that laid the foundation for modern criminal profiling. Her work also inspired the character of Wendy Carr on the Netflix show “Mindhunter.”
