About this listen
Welcome to The Hip Replacement Podcast – a show by a hip replacement patient FOR hip replacement patients, their families and friends. Whether you're preparing for surgery, in recovery, or just looking to move and live better — you're in the right place.
In this Episode, I shared different nerve sensations in the front and outsides of my upper thighs that I experienced in the years following surgery. This was due to the entry point of the surgery that cut or disrupted the nerves in the area.
As time passed after surgery, I had the following sensations:
- Numbness with periods of burning
- Numbness with periods of itching
- Numbness that decreased over time
About 75% of the feeling has returned.
