About this listen
The eleventh and final episode of the first season of Another Paramedic Podcast, we talk to four students.
In this episode we talk about the things that we would have told ourselves earlier in the course. We look at the things we have done and some of the things that caused stress. The students are all at different points throughout their degree and reflect on what they have done up to now while providing advice for their earlier selves, their peers and anyone thinking of starting out the journey to become a Paramedic.
Everyone is different and if you find you are struggling and need support please reach out to the appropriate channels and locations.
As well as many other services, the Samaritans phone lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and are available in the UK on 116 123.
Shout is a similar service except the conversation is via text, if you need their support text SHOUT to 85258.
All the members of the podcast work for the University of Sunderland and/or teach as part of the Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care BSc (HONS) course or are students at the University of Sunderland. We would like to thank the University of Sunderland for allowing us to record using their fantastic suites. If anyone has any questions about being a Paramedic or studying to become a Paramedic with the University of Sunderland, please get in touch and we would be happy to chat with you.
This episode features John Bailey, Ailidh, Lucy, Nadine and Emily.
