About this listen
Accutron boasts an incredible legacy of innovation, forward-thinking design and ‘firsts’ in the watch industry, and beyond.. However it seems that legacy is lost on many — even for the “watch nerds” in the back. So we decided to get a couple of well-qualified gentlemen in the same room to break down Accutron’s significance and impact on the world.
In episode 4 of Talking:Shift, Thomas Calara is joined by our founder, James Lamdin, and Accutron’s Sales Manager, Richard Callamaras to shed light on the brand’s legacy. And this isnt any ol’ room either — we were on location to shoot at the Bulova Accutron archive museum at the top of the Empire State Building!
Richard Callamaras is more than what his title says on his business card. Richard is a brand historian, passionate enthusiast and scholar when it comes to all things Bulova and Accutron. This conversation is filled with plenty of historical nuggets, approaches to collecting, insight in regard to current trends we’re seeing in watches today, and of course, a look at the Accutron’s Legacy collection!
