    Galatians 5 - Freedom in Christ and Life By the Spirit

    Scripture Meditation: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23, NIV)

    Freedom in Christ

    5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

    2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

    7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? 8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. 9 “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.” 10 I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty. 11 Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished. 12 As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!.....(refer to reading vs. 13-26 to complete)

    Proverbs 3 - The Rewards of Wisdom

    Scripture Meditation: "Blessed is a person who finds wisdom, And one who obtains understanding. For her profit is better than the profit of silver, And her produce better than gold." (Proverbs 3:13-14)

    The Rewards of Wisdom

    3 My son, do not forget my [a]teaching,
    But have your heart comply with my commandments;
    2 For length of days and years of life
    And peace they will add to you.
    3 Do not let kindness and truth leave you;
    Bind them around your neck,
    Write them on the tablet of your heart.
    4 So you will find favor and a good [b]reputation
    In the sight of God and man.
    5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    And do not lean on your own understanding.
    6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
    And He will make your paths straight.
    7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
    Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
    8 It will be healing to your [c]body
    And refreshment to your bones.
    9 Honor the Lord from your wealth,
    And from the first of all your produce;
    10 Then your barns will be filled with plenty,
    And your vats will overflow with new wine.....(refer to reading vs. 11-35 to complete)

    Psalm 136 -O Give Thanks To The Lord

    Scripture Meditation: "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
    His love endures forever.." (Psalm 136:1)

    Psalm 136

    1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
    His love endures forever.
    2 Give thanks to the God of gods.
    His love endures forever.
    3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
    His love endures forever.

    4 to him who alone does great wonders,
    His love endures forever.
    5 who by his understanding made the heavens,
    His love endures forever.
    6 who spread out the earth upon the waters,
    His love endures forever.
    7 who made the great lights—
    His love endures forever.
    8 the sun to govern the day,
    His love endures forever.
    9 the moon and stars to govern the night;
    His love endures forever....(refer to reading vs. 9-26 to complete)
