About this listen
Good Morning Nashville ☀️
We are beyond excited to be back once again, bringing to you guys a new episode for the new week. Mental health and black men is what we’re all about, we thank you for joining us. Let’s get into today’s episode. 🔥
Coming out of May, we all know that month is deemed Mental Health Awareness Month. June however, is more centered and focused around the mental health of men. What we wanted to do for June is theme our episodes around the topic “Black Entrepreneurship”. There are a many of black owned businesses in our city and beyond, but Forbes reports that 55% of CEOs in 2024 stated that they experienced a mental health issue of some kind within the past year. We have to talk with our men that are small business owners, and today, we’re excited to bring the guest that we have to kickoff our newest season titled “Black Entrepreneurship”.
We are excited to present to some and introduce to others, the proud owner of Creative Soulz Printing, Mr. Thomas Kelly ⭐️
A proud native of Nashville, Hume Fogg High School Graduate, member of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, Thomas Kelly found his vision for his business by doing various creative work in the church. Flyers, banners, anything that the church needed, Thomas was able to create and manifest the business that he has today. He talks about how a lot of his clients today are small business owners, and the joy that comes with knowing while making money, he’s helping another business owner as well. Thomas vents with us today about a time where there was a down period in his business, so much so where he had to pick up a part time job. Picking up that job for Thomas led to sleepless nights, mental stress, and burnout. Today’s episode is a good one, take some time to listen to a black man vent today.
