About this listen

On July 3 in East Tulsa, officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving gunfire at the Shoreline Apartments. The victim reported that his ex-girlfriend allegedly fired multiple shots into his U-Haul rental van and apartment before fleeing. The suspect, identified as Robyn Buxton, led officers on a pursuit across several neighborhoods. Buxton was eventually apprehended near 4800 S. Darlington after a brief standoff and arrested on charges including eluding, shooting into an occupied dwelling, malicious injury to property, and traffic violations. This incident is no longer under investigation, as an arrest has been made.

On July 2, police responded to a shooting at the River West Apartments near 2200 S. Jackson Ave. in West Tulsa. A man in his 20s was found with a gunshot wound to the stomach and was transported to the hospital for surgery. No arrests have been made and the case remains under investigation. Police have not released suspect information and are asking for the public’s help.

For July 6, records from the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center list ongoing bookings related to various offenses. Ashley Renee Woodell, age 24, was booked for destruction of evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. James Leonard Day, age 58, and Danna Renea Olden, age 39, were booked on municipal holds. The status of these cases remains under review.

For the week, law enforcement activity included multiple incidents in residential apartment complexes, with two major shooting investigations and ongoing enforcement against property and drug offenses. Both shooting incidents involved apartment complexes and resulted in at least one arrest and one ongoing search for suspects. Police report that in the unresolved River West Apartments shooting, they are seeking public assistance with any information that could identify those involved.

Tulsa Police request anyone with information about these or other crimes to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. Callers can remain anonymous. Trends this week suggest a continued concern with firearm-related violence at apartment complexes and property crimes involving vehicles and drug offenses. Increased patrol presence remains in these areas as investigations continue.
