About this listen

Have you ever wanted to know more about the world of Lord of the Rings? Maybe you even started the Silmarillion but couldn't get into it. Too many names (usually beginning with 'Fin', let's be honest). I feel you. And I have your back. Join me and my wife as I do all the research for you and explain all the amazing stuff hidden within Tolkien's works. There's like 50 years he was writing for so there's a lot. The podcast breaks down Middle-earth's history like I'm your pal at the pub. I keep it accessible and relatable because as many people as possible should appreciate Tolkien's world.A Drunk History of Middle-earth

Chris was indisposed, so I've returned to spill some home truths about the world.

In this captivating exploration of Middle Earth, this truther delves into the hidden truths and conspiracies surrounding the Valar, Mount Doom, and the mysterious disappearance of the Entwives.

He presents a compelling argument that Mount Doom is not merely a volcano but a clean energy reactor, and that the Valar have a vested interest in keeping Middle Earth in a state of stagnation.

The discussion also touches on the enigmatic Nameless Things that consume history and knowledge, posing a dire warning about their influence on the world.

Chris and Becca make it easy to get into Middle Earth lore. I,like Becca, have trouble with names so it’s nice to get an in depth walk through and not have to be too pressed about names cuz I know Chris and Becca will keep me straight haha! Very good listen - highly recommend.

Really this is such a wonderful listen. It reflects the lore in the Silmarillion accurately and in a relaxed way. The conversation between the couple are hilarious and sweet, and after reading the Silmarillion I completely loved going through all the episodes. Definitely worthwhile and easy to absorb and follow - especially if you’re interested but want something a bit lighter than the books, or want a little refresher. 10/10 definitely recommend
