Within the Currents of Family: The Art of Understanding, Acceptance, and Connection

In this heartfelt episode, I sit down with Dr. Fei Hong, a clinical psychologist based in Germany, to explore the emotional complexity of family life—especially for overseas Chinese families navigating cross-cultural realities and generational gaps.

Dr. Hong is not only a professional therapist with decades of clinical experience in public hospitals and universities in Germany, but also a passionate storyteller and co-founder (together with Ms. Yunrong Xu) of the non-profit International Mental Health Network for Expatriates. Through her stories and wisdom, she offers compassionate insights into what it truly means to connect, support, and heal within families.

✨ In this episode:

· Why do we often feel powerless or stuck in our family systems?

· What silent struggles are today’s youth facing—especially after the pandemic?

· How can parents “update their GPS” and truly understand their children?

· The healing power of stories, and how to open our hearts to real connection
