About this listen
Whispering Willows is a place where wishes come true, but at what cost?
I didn't expect to be a widow at forty years old. I didn't expect to be a single mother. I didn't expect to inherit a mountain of debt. And I definitely didn't expect to return to Whispering Willows—or my life as a witch.
But here I am: I've reopened my mother's wish shop, started granting wishes, and am teaching my daughter magic.
Life is perfect . . . Almost.
There's my ex, who's aged unfairly well and who also happens to be my daughter's teacher. My high school BFF, who has turned into a major bully. And then there's the golden lamp.
After I find it in the basement, strange things start happening: the random rain showers in my shop, the ruined wishes, the seagull who can suddenly sing (off-key) showtunes. Just when I think it can't get any weirder, I throw the lamp in the ocean, and it appears back in my shop the next day.
Something is trying to escape that lamp, and if I don't figure out what, our new beginning might be over before it's even started.

Story
Becoming a widow on my fortieth birthday was not what I had planned. Even worse? It's forced me and my teenage daughter back to Whispering Willows and the life of magic I left behind. I tell myself it'll be a short trip to sell my mother's shop of wishes. Until I kind of, sort of bind myself to the shop. With bills piling up fast, I gotta do something I swore I never would: open shop and start granting wishes, just until I can figure out how to undo this pesky binding spell.

Story
Kinsley never thought she would go home. She left Coventry and didn't look back. But after a divorce, she packed up her stuff and drove toward the only place that she knew would accept her. Life hadn't been easy for Kinsley since she left town. She'd spent her entire adult life rebelling against what she was, and that meant hiding her true self from the world. Kinsley left Coventry on a mission to be ordinary. But you know what they say about the best-laid plans.

Story
Scarlett Prynne is new in town, but that won't stop trouble from finding the young witch. It always does. Before her brother kicked her through a magical portal that eventually landed her in nowhere Tonopah, Nevada, he called her an agent of chaos. But let's be fair. Our Scarlett doesn't create problems. Her magic just attracts it in all shapes and furry sizes. Like her familiar, Runeclaw. The black cat's tongue is as sharp as his nails, and he has a snark that can cut through just about anything. This time though, trouble was already here.

Story
Reverend Augustus Shackleford's mission in life (aside from ensuring the collection box was suitably full every Sunday) was to secure advantageous marriages for each of his eight daughters. A tall order, given the fact that in the Reverend's opinion they didn't possess a single ladylike bone in the eight bodies they had between them. Quite where he would find a wealthy titled gentleman bottle headed enough to take any of them on remained a mystery and indeed was likely to test even his legendary resourcefulness.

Story
In 1876, we were called to Savannah, Georgia to help with an infestation of demons. If we'd known what we, my wife Evangeline, and I, were walking into, we'd have run the other way. As it was, we shared tea with a vampire and stepped into a battle we did not understand until it was too late.
