About this listen

Your emotions might betray you. The Your Perfect Match Band won’t. That was their promise.
Too bad it's true.

Tony and I are practically newlyweds. Honestly, I love him so much I ache.

That's why I would’ve never guessed he’d do anything to jeopardize what we have.

So when he brings home expensive new technology called YPM wristbands, comped by his new client, Quantum Match Inc., I think nothing of it when he says, “Let’s wear them, just to test them.”

But...

I never thought he would care about the results.

I didn’t think he’d ask for space to “process his perfect match.”

And I never imagined he’d be capable of doing what he has done to me.

But our story isn’t merely one about how my husband, who may be a cheater and a gaslighter, or perhaps also a victim of new technology, is making me think I'm losing my mind. This is about me, and the fire I'm being forced to walk through.

This is more than a spiraling; it's a reckoning. And one of us won’t come out of this the same.

I enjoyed the story enough to listen to the entire thing, but I did not like the Virtual Voice narration. It's not horrible, but some words were pronounced incorrectly; for example, rerecord should be REE-reh-cord but it was reh-reh-cord. "I got straight As" should be long A but was read "as." "I got straight as." Some sentences just didn't come across right because word emphasis is lacking. It's enough to be a constant distraction. I won't listen to another Virtual Voice again - there are so many amazing narrators that I just can't support AI narration.

Story great, narration not
