About this listen
People with ADHD struggle with planning and goal setting. The concepts are understandable and the strategies we are taught make sense. Yet, we can’t seem to make ourselves do it consistently—if at all. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. And you are not the problem! Using a script not designed to work with your ADHD brain, it is almost impossible to be a good planner and goal setter.
This book provides tools for the ADHD brain to implement practical strategies for successful goal setting and planning. Jeff shares his thoughts and experiences, as well as some of the science, as to why those “standard” tools just don’t work for the ADHD brain.

Actionable advice for living with ADHD
This book offers incredibly useful information, in an actionable format. The author does a great job of explaining the why/how the ADHD brain works, illustrating the strong points and the aspects which are divergent from the non-ADHD brain. From there, he offers clear, actionable strategy to make living with ADHD easier and productive. I would highly recommend the book to anyone who has or is in a relationship with someone who has ADHD. It will give clarity on the why we do the things we do and provide tactics to make those actions more productive in everyday life.
I personally took away several key points, which allow me to identify when my brain is pointing me down a path I’d rather get off and key ways to keep myself more organized, prioritized and productive.
