About this listen
What do you do when the most joyful place on earth turns into a living nightmare?
Ray and Bella are standing in line, impatiently waiting so she can meet her favourite character, Baroness Emberella, when things go horribly wrong. While Ray’s making one of the most difficult decisions of his life, Vanessa and Tom are separated as they try to get their twin boys to safety. In the meantime, Tyler and Michelle’s three-month dating anniversary has become a teenage tragedy, and Adrian struggles with looking after her younger brother.
What starts as a typical day at the best amusement park in the universe quickly turns into chaos as a virus spreads like wildfire through the patrons and staff. As the shrinking number of uninfected fight for survival against the insatiable undead, the struggle to escape the park becomes increasingly difficult.
How do they choose the right path while dealing with panic, loss, grief, anxiety, and uncertainty? Will they survive, or will they succumb to the hordes of undead shambling throughout the rides and attractions?
In this suspenseful and horror-filled parody, author Kat Chartier brings a new twist to a tale of blood, gore, zombies, and theme parks.

Good start to a new series.
The concept of this book is quite fun. Zombie outbreaks are common idea but the setting of a theme park changes up the equation. Part of the book made me recall my time playing dead rising. Having an entire theme park as your playground allows for fun moments. The book parodies certain real life aspects that anyone with a pulse should understand.
The book follows various survivors who each have a different reaction to the events around them. The book is filled with some quite funny moments as well as some descriptively gory moments.
I thought part two of the book to be interesting. The survivors transition to a new part of the theme park and that changes things up quite significantly with an uncommon twist for the genre.
I recommend chequing this book out if you like the genre, humor, or dislike a certain popular theme park and company.
