There are a lot of misconceptions around annuities. Most of them revolve around the sale of variable annuities from brokers, where there is a lot of overpromising done, in my humble opinion. For example, a variable annuity is a security and therefore is an investment that inherently carries risk and comes with high fees. For variable annuities, three to six percent in fees could come out of the overall account value annually versus just a zero to one percent annual fee with a fixed indexed annuity.

There's a massive freight train bearing down on the average American investor, and it's coming in the form of higher taxes. David McKnight provides a concise, step-by-step roadmap on how to get to the zero percent tax bracket by the time you retire, effectively eliminating tax rate risk from your retirement picture. In this expanded edition, McKnight has updated the book with a new chapter on the "2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act", telling listeners how to navigate the new tax law in its first year of being in effect, and how they can extend the life of their retirement savings by taking advantage of it now.

America's elite have been using cash value life insurance to stockpile wealth for centuries. Used correctly, it is better described as a personal bank on steroids, and a financial bunker for tough times. To be clear, this audiobook is not about the typical garbage peddled by most insurance agents. Rather, an alternative to the risky investment strategies taught by Wall Street. It details a highly efficient form of cash value life insurance designed to supercharge your savings and stockpile wealth.

Story
Real estate investors used to build wealth the hard way: slowly saving money and sacrificing their current happiness for a future reward. This method produces results in the long run but what if there's a better, more efficient way that works in years instead of decades? Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat (BRRRR) is the five-part real estate investing strategy that makes financial freedom more attainable than ever: You buy a property under market value, add value with renovations, rent it out to tenants, complete a cash-out refinance, and then use that money to do it all over again.

Today people worry that they're going to run out of money in their older age. That won't happen if you use a few tricks for squeezing higher payments from your assets - from your Social Security account (find the hidden values there), pension (monthly income or lump sum?), home equity (sell and invest the proceeds or take a reverse mortgage?), savings (should you buy a lifetime annuity?), and retirement accounts (how to invest and - critically - how much to withdraw from your savings each year).
