About this listen
2024 Global Book Award Silver Medalist
Ghosted.
It wasn't the first time—and probably wouldn't be the last.
But I'll be damned if I let the same man do it twice.
Except...it's him.
The one with the dreamy eyes and that deep, rumbling baritone.
The man I met ten years ago on a balcony, where one electric conversation felt like the start of everything.
I thought he was it.
He said he'd call.
He didn't.
Now he's the CEO of the company launching my fashion line—and I'm the woman who can make or break his brand.
We're older. Sharper. But the heat between us? Still dangerous.
His eyes still linger. His voice still curls around my spine.
And when we're alone, the tension crackles like it never left.
But he's colder now. Controlled. And stuck in an engagement he swears he never wanted.
I'm here to build my career—not fall into bed with the man who broke my young heart.
But the more I learn about what really happened that night...the more I want to be his comfort and his escape.
He says he won't let me go again.
But I've fallen for that voice—and the fire—before.
And ten years changes a person.
Doesn't it?
(A second chance romance with heat, healing and a splash of intrigue.)

Too much detail
Overall, the story is great! I actually can’t wait for the second book which I’m about to read now it just released today. I feel like she unnecessarily drug a lot of this book out. There were details about the dog, getting loose , too many details, details not necessary to the story. It was just a lot of details that were not necessary to the story. It just made this book unnecessarily longer than needed
