About this listen
The war between the Pest Control and Necro-Beast Guilds has begun, and Keith is right in the thick of it.
Having received his quest from Marj, Keith sets off toward Umber City to investigate Cane, a dangerous member of the Necro-Beast Guild. Help is already waiting for him in the form of the Royal Guild, who has pledged to help in the extermination of the Dark Guilds plaguing the continent. Though all seems well at first, Keith soon finds himself bogged down in quests, assassination plots, and back-alley lowlives, not to mention the conspiracy by one of the greatest citizens in all of Humania.
Keith will need to work harder than ever if he wants to survive to complete the Trickster's quest. With Bob at his side and amazing new gear from his battle with the Raid Boss, Sola, he's better equipped than ever, but his enemies aren't just going to roll over and die.
It's a good thing Keith is so experienced at killing....
We Hunt Monsters is a LitRPG series in a fantasy world. This book contains multiple stat sheets, item descriptions, epic quests, and loads of monsters.

Story
Keith has died 12 times. After making a deal with a mysterious immortal, he was sent to a new world in hopes of gaining the offered reward - a chance at a better life with his family. However, Keith failed to realize that this deal did not come with an expiration date, no matter how many times he died. After dying for the dozenth time, Keith renegotiates with the immortal. This new deal will see him sent to the world of Raiah - a world filled with monsters, cowardly monkeys, and a system of magic very similar to the fantasy roleplaying games his brother used to enjoy.

Story
Morgan's life is not easy. Growing up on the streets of City Four, he is constantly shunned by the other citizens. Morgan doesn't mind being ignored. What he does mind, though, are the constant beatings from the city guards due to his friendship with Sarah, the city lord's only daughter. Lord Simon wants him dead, but the laws of the kingdom are on Morgan’s side, and even the guards won't kill him just for being seen near his manor. Morgan’s time is running out, though. Lord Simon has deep pockets, and his last visit to the manor may just have put him over the edge.

Fight, survive, adapt, and rely only on yourself. That is Derek’s creed and what's got him through the System Integration on Earth. Everything changed when the System came. Cute bunnies and beautiful butterflies became savage killing machines. Then the Invaders arrived with a single goal: to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. War has raged ever since. None of this mattered much to Derek, aside from making living a little more perilous.

Great story but better solo
Love the MC but hate kayla, honestly you can tell they are going to end up together which sucks. He says hes not interested and she refuses to give up. If a guy did that to a girl he'd be a stalker and attacked. Honestly wish he break kayla's leg when she pulls her stalker routine and leave her on the roadside.
Some of the betrayals in this book seem a task far fetched from who does it and how many times hes helped them. Honestly he should leave the guild and be inependant, he made enough connections with other guilds he could be freelance.
Also they both just walk out of a room full of gold and treasure, not looting it. WTF

Good series so far
The story is good, and the MC is mostly likable. If you have read other series but this author it's similar to his other works, maybe a bit better imho. So far no political crap, religion bigotry, harems, or even swearing. Seems like a pretty clean series I wouldn't mind recommending to my oldest kids (15+). Younger could probably read it but it may be too violent or graphic for younger kids.
I would recommend the first 2 books in this series if things continue this way in future books.

Such a good sequel
This has to be one of my favorite sequels. it also has to be one of the most intriguing book I've read of Aaron Oster. I really liked this book and I honestly can't wait for book 3.
Shawn hertel isn't that bad of a narrator, I actually think he's pretty good, I feel like he's gotten better in this book though, Shawn can actually do some good accents and he also has alot of different voices. I'm not gonna say he's the best choice for this book, but he is a good narrator, and I do believe he did this book very well. I'd rate the narration a 4.7 star.
Now the characters, I really feel Aaron changed his writing style compared to book 1. In book 1 the Mc would make dumb decisions or he wouldn't act his age. I feel like that's fixed in this book, he acts his age. I actually like the mc, I was waiting for this type of mc forever. He doesn't have any love interests because he knows it'll only bring trouble, he doesn't mind killing or doing things that need to be done, he makes smart decisions and is level headed in situations where most mcs would be freaking out. The mc is certainly way better in this book and he's probably one of my favorite. I also like the side characters, but there not really with any in this story. in the end he's with the vampire girl but that's way at the end of the book. He's mostly by himself for the whole book. I actually really liked that, it was a nice solo story. I mean the monkey was with him so he wasn't really by himself.
The monkey I feel was actually written really well, he's pretty funny and on more than one occasion I was just dying laughing. Bob is a cool monkey and he really gives the story something I didn't know it needed.
I'd also like to talk about his skills, in this book alot of he skills got to master rank, meaning he can start teaching people his skills. I honestly don't want him too and I'll explain why. For 1, The skills he has are very rare, I mean it's basically all his knowledge stuffed into a couple skills, so giving them to someone I feel is just very stupid. especially the new passive skill he got.
This really is just a personal opinion.
But I feel we got off track. Overall I feel the characters are a 5 star.
Now let's talk about the plot, This has to be one of the best things about this story. it's detailed and action packed!. it's certainly way better than book 1, and I really can't wait to see what book 3 brings to the table.
When we talk about world building, it's really just better than book 1. I feel like the world Is detailed and I really liked the world itself.
Overall I think the world building and plot are a 5 star.
Now let's talk about the action... I LOVE IT. It's my favorite thing about this book, there is just so much of it. just one fight onto another, one mystery onto another, one quest onto another. I just love it so much, the close combat also is really good. it's just so detailed!!!. I'd also like to add, for the people who thought it was a dumb choice for him to use a hammer... I think you'll change your mind after listening to this book and here's why, 1 he's basically just as proficient with Blunt weapons as his is with Bladed weapons now. 2 he's now like a mini thor!!!Thor!!!, he's so cool!!!. I actually like the hammers and I think it's certainly something different. 3 he's kinda got past his boycott on not using Bladed weapons, like I mentioned before. he really changed in this book.
So overall I think the action is 5 star.
I honestly think this sequel was way better than book 1. I loved this book so much and it certainly was really enjoyable. I can't wait for book 3!!!. I recommend this book 2 100 times. I feel like this story is a 5 star!!!
