About this listen
In the first book in the series, Cooper's Revenge, Logan and a cohort of Navy SEAL buddies, mounted the successful operation against the bomb making facility responsible for the death of Logan's brother, Cooper, in Iraq, which in turn, prompted the Iranian response. Logan has moved on, although he has stayed in the game, working as a marine architect innovating new maritime designs for the Navy from his perch as CEO of Alexander Maritime in Boston, Massachusetts.
Logan and his wife, Zahir, have settled into Boston, and are busy with their careers and parenting. Zahir has finished a PhD program in Arabic studies and is teaching Arabic at a university in the city. They have set their sights on settling down and building new lives in the United States.
Meanwhile, the Iranians have not forgotten nor forgiven the U.S. for its attack on their secret bomb making facility . They have been working diligently over the past year and have managed to piece together a rough outline of what happened at Bandar Deylam. The U.S. was working with Kuwait and it's just possible that the operation had been off the books and may have even been the work of mercenaries or paramilitaries. It definitely wasn't a bone fide U.S. military incursion. Given plausible denial from the U.S., Iran's leadership suspects that the operation was initiated at the behest of the White house, a covert action ploy designed to shied the U.S. government fro international condemnation.
In response to, and as part of a broader initiative to deploy Qods Force operatives abroad, the Qods Force's leadership is recruiting members into Unit 400, a covert assassination unit within the Revolutionary Guard Corps. They have identified a two-person team to deploy to South America, where they will be home-based as they await tasking from Teheran. Interestingly, one of the new recruits is Azar Ghabel, widow of the former base commander in Bandar Deylam, Colonel Barzan Ghabel, whom Logan killed during the operation.
Azar is bent on revenge, but she doesn't know the identity of the man who upended her life, killing her beloved husband. Will their paths cross?
