About this listen

THE STORY: It’s 1990 and a coup has overtaken the Russian Government. America needs to keep her guard up and her two new FBI agents are struggling to get along. They respect each other, but would never volunteer to work together. The FBI Director assigns them to work together to stop a Russian spy ring in California at Northrup. Plans for the newest Stealth Bomber are at risk. Their cover is as a newlywed couple in love...and Mormon because that is something the spies would never suspect. Andie winces when the Director says, "This is the Book of Mormon. Read it, Learn it, know it, Live it. That is all." This is their chance to prove their worth to their Country, crack the case and become heroes. A thrilling adventure awaits. But what happens when a Non Mormon is thrown into the culture without a jargon dictionary? While trying to fit in, misinterpretations of LDS protocol abound yet their clueless demeanor makes for some comedic scenes. When asked what inspired such an endeavor, Karen mentioned, "I spoke to several people who worked there at the real Northrop from the 60s to the 90s and said that the security there was not the best; plans could have escaped detection. That perked my interest to further investigate and imagine the possibilities. I spelled it differently in the novel to differentiate between fiction and of course, non-fiction." Action & Adventure
