About this listen
On the other hand, Scripture tells us that God, the Creator, is actively involved in all his Creation. Paul said, “For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him” (Colossians 1:16). Trusting in God’s providence or sovereignty gives us victory in the Christian life.
During periods when my life seemed random and out of control, I learned to lean hard on God’s sovereignty. I remember the weeks visiting my wife in the hospital when I felt confused and frustrated. My only refuge was God and the knowledge that he was in control of all things. God’s sovereign control has given me confidence and victory to believe that he does know the way, and I can trust in him.
