About this listen

On the scene of a multiple murder that's grisly even for a veteran homicide detective, Brian Clifton is stunned when one of the victims bears an uncanny resemblance to his boyfriend, James. As the similarities keep piling up, so do the bodies...and the evidence pointing to James as the killer.

Since long before the shooting, James has been dishonest. He's been evasive. Oh, and there's that minor detail he withheld from Brian about being a gambling-addicted drug dealer.

James may not be the best boyfriend in the world, but he begs Brian to believe he's no killer. In fact, whoever did pull the trigger undoubtedly wants to finish what they started, and Brian is the only one James trusts to keep him safe.

But how much is Brian willing to risk to protect a man he may not even know?

I won't lie, I had a part of this little mystery figured out from the beginning but this story was so entertaining there were moments I believed I was listening to an episode of Criminal Minds, CSI, or Graceland except with a gay twist. Loved it!

Great mystery!

This series is as good as the others. I enjoy the stories because the are truly about two guys trying to build a relationship in the midst of the drama that is life.

Well Done.

Umm, I do not understand how anyone could sell this premise. The double dealing, complicated, drug dealer part - or the bizarre relationship Brian has (or thinks he has) with James. How little self respect does Brian have for himself??? Ah well,

Audio version is nicely performed by Charlie David. I always enjoy listening to him talk, no matter what he's sayin'.
