Audible has a bad habit of cutting out the intros and outros of these historic broadcasts.
Something I only realized AFTER I had commented on someone's review of ORSON AND ME on Amazon.

They had said that the young boy who won a role in the Mercury's production of JULIUS CAESAR was fictional. He wasn't. 14 year old Arthur Anderson played "Lucius" in that and he really DID set off the sprinkler system.

Arthur appears in this program as "Young Jim Hawkins" and Orson relates the story at the close of the show. "It rained on Brutus. It rained all over Brutus. I was Brutus and I ought to know." Orson says.

But you don't get to hear that because Audible cut it out.

(Orson adds that young Arthur can always count on a job with the Mercury Theatre so, no, he wasn't angry about it).

So, Audible, try to leave historically relevant material in by not editing these broadcasts, okay?

The Production by Orson Welles, John Houseman, & The Mercury Theatre is GREAT, But....

Love Treasure Island, much respect for Orson Welles. But you can barely understand what they're saying I had to turn it off after 10 minutes. Waste of time and money!

Horrible quality
