About this listen

 During my twenty-five years as a cop in Los Angeles, I had a lot of assignments. Of those I can write about, my experiences as a Background Investigator were perhaps the most revealing. All of the stories in the novel were inspired by actual incidents. I have deliberately fictionalized them to protect both the innocent and the guilty. The narrative provides insight into both my career and the inter-workings of the police department. This book is hard to put down.
