So Many Jaw-Dropping Moments....

This was my first book by this author and I went in completely blind and wow, just wow! I am a big fan of the bully trope and darker books in general, and I will just throw it out there now that I read to escape reality and don't always expect the books I read to be based 100% in reality. If I did it would probably ruin my reading experience, particularly I find when it comes to bully books and books where the characters are in high school. But, I digress. This book was definitely interesting and engaging and it definitely kept me wondering what in the world was going to happen next because there was seriously so much drama it really just never stopped.

Ocean grew up in a world where gang life was the norm and having no money for food was actually a thing. When things get bad enough, her mom takes a job in an affluent community as a live-in maid, where Oceania begins to learn things might just possibly be able to get worse.

Colton seems to get a lot of pleasure out of making Ocean's life miserable, aside from the times where he is actually saving her, and Ocean can't seem to figure him out. A perfect jekyll and hyde perhaps?

This book is full of lies, manipulation, betrayal and a bunch of jaw-dropping, did that really just happen moments. Just when you think you maybe have a grasp on the book, you don't. There are a lot of twisted scenarios. I can't wait to get more of Ocean and her crew and see what happens with Ocean and Colton and Colton's friends.

I listened to the audiobook for this story and Lessa Lamb did a phenomenal job with the telling of this story. She did such a fantastic job with the voices throughout the story and the emotion she put into her voice to help tell the story, that it really helped paint a picture of the characters and all the emotion throughout the book. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

Tough Sh*t

Tough Sh*t is the first book in the Rejects Paradise series. I've wanted to read this series for a while, so when I saw they were coming to audio I was very excited. After listening to the first book I can say I was not disappointed! I can't wait for the next three to come out! This is defiantly one of my favorite books, and I will probably finish the series and then relisten to all of the audiobooks when they come out!

This book is told from Ocean's point of view. She lives on the wrong side of the tracks and has had struggles making it. After her father passes away she is moved to the rich and elite when her mom takes a housekeeping job. While at this job she meets Colton whom is her mother's employer's son. Her mother's employer sends her to his school which is a all boys school.

While Ocean is at this school so many things happen to her. She gets blamed for being a girl, however she won't let anyone take her down and she does what she has to survive! Ocean is a tough girl and I loved every minute of her! Colton wants nothing to do with her (or so it seems.)

The ending to this book was crazy and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!

Such An Amazing Listen

Moving in with a billionaire playboy is supposed to be some sort of Cinderella story right? I'm supposed to be having the time of my life while living a dream. Wrong. When the bank took our home, it didn't come as a surprise. The bomb was when mom told me we were moving out of Breakers Flats, away from my crew, and to a place that only existed in fairy tales-Bellevue Springs. Home of the insanely beautiful, rich, and famous. Only, Bellevue Springs is far from a fairy tale. It's a nightmare full of secrets, horrors, and the ugly reality of the one-percenters, but without this move, mom and I are up sh*t creek without a paddle. We don't belong her-not even as the help. I should have been prepared. I should have done my homework so at least that way I wasn't blindsided by Charles Carrington's son; my new housemate. Colton Carrington. He's the definition of an arrogant, entitle prick and he's determined to make my life a living hell. Guess what, Colton? This is a Dark High School Bully Romance. This will contain adult themes and may contain some triggers from some listeners so you should take the warnings seriously. I am sitting here trying my best how to review this and not give something away. I could really go on and on about it but I can say that the first bully romance I read I wasn't so much a fan of them. But I kept trying them and now I have to say that I really do like them. If there dark that is even better and this one delivers in spades. Oceania is really a great, tough, strong, female character that your going to fall in love with and you really will love her and root for her while listening but I'm not going to lie either some things will have you fuming. After all we are talking about Colton Covington!! This guy I swear. Oceana is from a really rough town and she along with four of her best male friends basically ran the town. If she didn't have them then life would have been totally different for her but thank goodness she will never know that but then she has to move. This is where she meets Colton and he is bound and determined to make her move away again and be gone. What he never counts on is that Oceania is not weak and she is going to fight back. Now I need the second book in my hands ASAP!! I have to know what is going to happen next. I also thought that the book was well narrated and made me feel like I was right there in the moment

Awesome, couldn't put it down!!

Love the story!! Kept me glued to it just so I could hear what happened next. Loved how all the characters flowed together. It wasn't just a bunch of unnecessary characters in and out of the story line to fill pages. Can't wait to get to the next book! Great read!!!

A Must Read/Listen Dark Bully Romance

Tough Sh*t by Sheridan Anne is a dark high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lessa Lamb. This is the first book in the Rejects Paradise series.

The book does come with a "WARNING: Rejects Paradise is a Young Adult / New Adult Dark High School Bully Romance series. It features dark themes and mature content."

This is the first book of Sheridan's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I absolutely loved Oceania! I am loving her protective crew: Dominic, Sebastian, Elijah, and Kario. I look forward to seeing what will become of her relationship with Colton.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Cocky F*ck to be released on audio so I can get more of Oceania's story.

Lessa did an amazing job on the narration. She really knows how to bring a story to life. I can't wait to listen to more of her work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves dark romances, bully romances, or young adult romances.

Sheridan Anne, I love you!!

Lessa Lamb was such a good fit for this story! I enjoyed this audible just as much as I enjoyed reading it. 5 stars all around.

O is so young just trying to make it in life the only way she knows how, winging it. At only 17 she’s been through so much and my heart is with her.

CC, the billionaire play boy..... he’s such a mystery and I can’t wait to learn more about him.

This book does contain a huge cliffhanger so beware.

This book sucks you in from the beginning!

I want to start off by saying this book is very intriguing and sucks you in from the first chapter. There are a lot of twists that keeps you captivated and the cliff hanger is so not expected. The narrator did a phenomenal job with both female and male narration and did one of the best jobs I’ve heard in quite some time!

All that being said, this book is not for everyone. *Spoiler on trigger content*

While I have read several dark and bully romances, I was wholly unprepared for an actual rape scene. I believe the warning in the description should clarify that there is an actual rape scene of the main character played out in real time, not just a flashback or hinted around. As this is a trigger for many people including myself, I do not read books with these types of scenes. I truly wanted to love this series but, unfortunately this book is not for me.

If you don’t have issues with these subjects, I do believe you should start this series. Because it is a great story and performance by the narrator!

Dark & Intense

This is my first book by Sheridan and it won't be my last. This is the first book in this bully romance series. Ocean and her mother move into a mansion, where her mother has taken a position as a live-in maid, after her father is killed. As a result, Ocean finds herself in a drastically different world than she has grown up in. She’s not exactly welcomed with open arms at her new school to say the least.

This book is full of lies, manipulation, and betrayal. There are scenes and topics that arise which some may find triggering. There are a lot of plot twists and a cliffhanger ending that have me eager to see what happens with Ocean and Colton and Colton's friends.

There are characters that you will love and hate. Lessa does a wonderful job of bringing them to life. Great start to a new series. #AudioObsessionReviewer

The book is the title

The title of this book clearly matches who Oceania Monroe is. Her life has flipped after moving into a rich house after her father died. O is funny as hell and I found myself literally lol with some of her sarcastic comments. I loved her rapport with her hood boys, new friendship with Milo and crazy connection with Colton. This is book 1 of 4 and ends on a cliffhanger. I kind of want her with Nik but it seems she’s going in Colt’s direction.
Although this book has 1 POV I would have liked a 2nd narrator for the guy voices. It just lends to a better listening experience.
My personal preference is that the female lead sleep with male lead after she meets her guy but that’s not the case so far.

A bully romance!

This was a dark, depraved, high school bully romance.

This was definitely have beem amazing with a duet narration. I loved Lessa Lamb's narration though. She did a great job.


I am definitely obsessed with this genre and admit I was first drawn in by the gorgeous cover.

But this book delivered so much more. The angst was high andbInwas definitely loving it.

If you enjoy a good high school bully dark romance with a ton of angst, look no further.
