Martha Jones, ex-time traveler, has been called to CERN, the world's largest particle physics laboratory, in Geneva. They're about to activate the Large Hadron Collider, designed to recreate conditions after the Big Bang and thus give an insight into what the Universe is made of. But so much could go wrong: it could open a gateway to a parallel dimension, or even create a black hole.

A storm is brewing: the water levels of the Bristol Channel are inexplicably rising, and Cardiff Bay is under threat from the worst flooding in years. In the midst of the climate chaos, Torchwood is called to investigate a series of gruesome murders.

The Devil and Miss Carew sees Gwen and Rhys involved in a nursing home mystery. Submission finds the Torchwood team heading for the bottom of the sea – the Mariana Trench – after they intercept a distress call. The House of the Dead sees a special séance being held at the most haunted pub in Wales.

Gwen and Rhys are on the run. Rhys was hoping this meant a windswept cottage on a cliff top, but he’s had to settle for a miserable caravan in the isolated village of Rawbone. Until it calls Jack back, he answers - and falls into a deep trance...
