About this listen
An irresistible affair that started with a kiss. Tides of Desire is the steamy Christmas sequel to Tides of Passion!
The feisty beauty who imagined a solitary life...
Spirited physician Macy Dallas is fervently committed to medicine, but a troubled past has kept her from committing to love. She’s never experienced ardent yearning for a man until she kisses Caleb Garrett...and her awakening passion is impossible to resist.
The jaded man who vowed to protect his heart...
A gifted boat builder who is dedicated only to the sea, Caleb doesn’t believe in the power of love. A wretched childhood has governed his life until he doesn’t believe he has anything to offer. A beguiling puzzle, Macy challenges his fears, and he considers giving in to their explosive passion. Even though he knows he’s not the man she deserves.
An irresistible affair that started with a kiss...
As they match wits in a tempestuous dance, their fortifications begin to crumble, revealing not only a fiery attraction but a deepening love. Soon, what should have been a simple seduction becomes deliciously complicated as they must open their hearts or lose the one person they are desperate to possess.

Wow!
Wow!
This is definitely the best of the three in this series. It is full of passion as Elinor Macy Dallas, a physician and Caleb Garrett, Boat Builder, fall hopelessly in love.
The length is just right, the story flows and the narration is really good.
I enjoyed it so much and am very happy to recommend it.
I requested and listened to a free copy of the audiobook version (and also have an ebook copy) and my voluntary and unbiased review is recorded above.

caleb and macy
Caleb is a shipbuilder, the middle Garrett boy. Macy is a doctor, only child. Her father wanted a son. She was a disappointment to her father all her life. Macy moved to.the small town in North Carolina , hopefully to start a practice. There she met Caleb, both are strong people. Their chemistry is electrical, when they first kissed. It was interesting how the author incorporated the character from the previous books into this one.
I enjoyed listening to this story narrated by Kimberly Wetherall.

a good story
I enjoyed this Steamy historical romance story with the two main characters that were Macy Dallas and Caleb Garrett. And also the rest of the characters to.
Macy Dallas is a lady doctor. She has had a troubled past that has kept her for getting with anyone. She is surprised when she kiss Caleb Garrett at a party. This kiss has awakened a passion that might be impossible to resist.
Caleb Garrett has a gift in building boats. He has trouble believing in love. So when a Macy Dallas kisses him at a party he is surprised that he wants more from her.
This story was quite steamy and fun to read or listen to. There were a lot of different emotion that was shown within this story.
I received a complimentary copy via BookSiren and an audio book too. This is my honest unbiased opinion.

Lovely Christmas read
An enjoyable story with two likeable characters that made me root for them from the start. I haven't read first two books, but it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. A couple of strong words and an overly long first sex scene are my only quibbles. Recommended!
P.S. As for the narrator, her male voices aren't very appealing, but that might be just my personal taste.

Bah, Humbug!
I rarely DNF a book, but this is one that I just couldn't finish. First of all, there was too much profanity for this type of book (in my opinion). When I read a historical romance, I don't expect it to be so full of the f-word (among others). This book seemed to jump into a story and I admit to being a little lost. I didn't really care for any of the characters and after an hour of listening, I just decided that it wasn't worth my time to continue.
The narrator did a pretty good job, but seemed a little dramatic in some of her voices. I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

Favorite of series
This was the first series I've read/listened to by Tracy Sumner...third book in the series. I enjoyed this one the most which is quite funny since Caleb was the brother I liked least. Before now anyway. Macy was sweet and quietly strong. This storyline wasn't as drawn out with the frustrating actions/feelings by the main characters. But the ending was so fast and unbelievable that I just adjusted the timeline adding a bit to the story in my head to make it work for me. I've NEVER done that before! We got to see Noah/Elle and Zach/Savannah/Rory again, which is always nice for us readers.
Kimberly Wetherell did a good job, once again, as narrator.
