About this listen
Good friends, wine and conversation.... Great fun – until somebody turns up dead.
Adina Donati came to Washington DC to find excitement, not a dead body. When a friend is murdered, Adina is drawn into the middle of the police investigation. Tensions rise as the suspect list expands to include Adina, her friends, and colleagues at the prestigious think tank where she works. But every cloud has a silver lining. Between the nice detective, the hot new volunteer at the dog rescue center, and the newly available preppy ex-boyfriend, Adina’s dating dry spell appears near its end. That is, if she doesn’t become the next victim.

Mystery
When listening to this book I felt the writing was simplistic, and wordy. It was catered to a younger reader. The storyline was alright. The narrator did a good job. I am not a fan of YA.

Good cozy mystery story within the Beltway
Think Murder is the first book in the Adina Donati, Accidental Sleuth series by Cassidy Salem. Adina works in a Washington DC policy think tank who just stumbles into a murder then it gets more personally dangerous. The characters and situations are reminiscent of those during my working years in DC. Young college grads working as data analysts, the metro, the zoo, drama and jealousy at work, even surfing the web at work, and arrogant obnoxious bosses. The murder mystery almost is secondary. The narration by Melissa Haley was good and helped bring the characters alive. Reminds me why I’m glad to be retired and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Murder and Land Appropriation
Adina and Hillary were just having a girls night out after work when Hilary is found dead in the ladies room. Adina boss volunteers her to help take over a project that Hillary was working on which unwittingly pulls her into the middle of a murder mystery and paints a target on her back. Adina starts to work on the project but ruffles feathers by asking too many questions and now she has to watch her back. In the midst of all this Adina is caught in a triangle of sexy men a handsome detective, a volunteer coworker and her ex who was her friends boyfriend talk about a twisted triangle. I enjoyed this storyline it was suspenseful, entertaining, intriguing and a little humorous. This is my honest unbiased review.

Think Murder
Adina is in the middle of a mess in this cozy mystery. Her good friend from work has been murdered and she’s the one who found her body. In the following days, it seems like somebody may be after Adina as well. This mystery had fun, interesting characters. And there was some humor to lighten the murder mystery. And Adina meets some interesting men. And there are dogs involved at the dog rescue center. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was very good.

good story
What a senseless murder for greed!!! I didn't make the connection until it was pointed out. I wished the heroine acted more attracted to the detective because he seemed a better fit and more suitable and stable than Bruce. Doesn't hurt to wish!!! I enjoyed the story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.
