About this listen
Talking and writing about the human heart, to a certain extent, we could consider it an enigma; since, apparently, on the one hand, it is believed that the heart is widely known; but at the same time the Holy Scriptures, after assuring that the heart of the human being is deceitful more than all things, immediately afterwards an important question is asked: "Who will know it?" This assures us that only God knows the human heart perfectly.
However, at the same time, heart is one of the most used words by human beings in all cultures. And that is because the heart is the nerve center of our daily movement, and of our lives, both biological, psychic and spiritual. Keep in mind that human beings are tripartite by creation. We are endowed with body, soul and spirit. You can analyze it in the following biblical quote,
«And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground (body), and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit); and man became a living soul (soul)» (Gen 2:7).
Thus, in addition to the body, the human being consists of a soul, which constitutes his personality, his self; and that soul disposes of the faculties of the intellect, the feelings and the will; otherwise he could not act as an independent, thinking being, capable of reasoning, experiencing his emotions and making his own decisions with complete individuality.
But the fact is that, in addition to the body to relate to this physical world, and the soul to become an individual and responsible human entity, in addition to that, man is the possessor of a spirit, with which he can communicate with his Creator, spirit that to effectively exercise this relationship and communication, is endowed with the faculties of Conscience, Intuition and Adoration (communion).
At this point, we must state that the Bible reveals that all the powers, both of the soul and of the spirit, are exercised equally by the heart. What does that mean? How can this phenomenon be explained? It is nothing other than both the soul and the spirit, have their seat, center and residence in the heart of man.
