About this listen
Dr. Andrew Weil has called his colleague Dr. Rubin Naimana a true pioneer in integrative sleep and dream medicine. Dr. Naiman has given us a new understanding of human consciousness that weaves sleep, dreams, and waking into a unified whole.
On the Yoga of Sleep, he bridges modern science with the world's wisdom traditions to present the untapped potential of sleep and dreams - not only for health and wellness but also for higher awareness and spiritual realization. It feautures five guided practices based on Dr. Naiman's unique approach to sleep: Your Personal Bedtime Stories, A mindful Surrender to Sleep, The Sacred Art of Awakening, and more.

A Whole Different Understanding of Sleep
What did you love best about The Yoga of Sleep?
I loved that Naiman gave me a whole different understanding about sleep, especially the understanding it as a different state of consciousness. In the past, whenever I woke up at night, I immediately began thinking. But Naiman explains that thinking is part of the conscious world, so I have begun to treasure sleep not as merely lack of consciousness, but a rich world with it's own values.

Review of the Yoga of Sleep
A wonderful presentation full of useful, applicable concepts. The second half of the audio would benefit from being structured into individual chapters for each practice. That would make it easier to go back and listen to a single practice at a time. Overall, I loved the material, the pace, and the tone. My personal relaxation practices, and those of my clients, will benefit me self from this information, and these simple yet profound practices. Thank you.
