About this listen
This was meant to be the perfect trip. The northern lights. A press launch on a luxury cruise ship. A chance for travel journalist Lo Blackwood to recover from a traumatic break-in that has left her on the verge of collapse and to work out what she wants from her relationship.
Except things don't go as planned. Woken in the night by screams, Lo rushes to her window to see a body thrown overboard from the next-door cabin. But the records show that no one ever checked in to that cabin, and no passengers are missing from the boat.
Exhausted, emotional and increasingly desperate, Lo has to face the fact that her sleep problems might be driving her mad, or she is trapped on a boat with a murderer - and she is the sole witness....

Good old fashioned page turner
From the moment I started listening to this and all the way through to the end… The story and the narrator held me. I couldn't put it down. Bravo!

Keeps you guessing
It was a good mystery, I found it impossible to guess what would happen next or predict any of the plot twists; lots of suspense to keep you hooked!
At first it had a somewhat of an Agatha Christie Murder Mystery feel, a closed environment with a fixed list of suspects, but with a faster moving plot.
Most of the story takes place on the boat, and just when you think you know what’s happening, you get a snippet of what’s going on “off the boat, back home” and any conclusions you may have reached are dashed.
How long until they make a movie?

great twists and awesome narration
The narrator does great accents that make the story even more immersive, and doesn't overdo the accents. If you want a gripping book that'll keep your attention the whole time, this is the book for you! highly recommend. The twist is so good, and the book makes you feel like you're figuring everything out along with the main character.

Impossible to stop listening. Seriously.
I never normally write reviews, but this book was so enjoyable I thought that it deserved the time. The narration was impeccable, oddly soothing whilst being extremely suspenseful. My favourite part about the experience was the feeling of constantly being at the edge of a cliff hung on a hook. There wasn’t a singular lead up that climaxed and then dropped to mundane chapters waffling to an end like many thrillers. This book has multiple peaks that keep you thoroughly entertained.

Great holiday book
The narration was excellent! Imogen Church's different accents, especially her scandinavian accent was superb. I have read a few Ruth Ware books and this one was fantastic. There were a few instances where I got annoyed with the weak and impassive behaviour of the main character but overall this was a good book. The book had me guessing to the end. I loved the ending of the book.

Gripping...
I love a novel that holds your interest so tight that you can't turn it off. Even better when you don't guess what is coming around the corner. Perhaps their will be a sequel??
