The monotony of the virtual reader

Overall a D-

I liked that it was free. Possibly 2 reasons for that, to get more reviews and because it’s hard to think of a price much above free that wouldn’t leave you feeling tricked out of your money for a substandard product.

That said, This virtual reader is definitely better than the audible title I listened to a while back that was very annoying because the pacing was all wrong and frequent mispronunciations. Possibly in time it will be competitive. For example, when there is a word that could be pronounced 2 different ways like ‘tear’ which has the same spelling without regard to if it’s what happens when a person cries or what happens when you rip something.

Intonation and general delivery is too monotone.

As long as virtual reader books are free, they might make the monthly subscription worth it, but only if they get better.
