Sense perceptions are necessary for creative imaging of the shots we intend to play. Our senses collect information that we use to direct our mind and body in executing a golf shot and everything else we do. Therefore, it is very helpful to practice awareness of our sense perceptions and how they are experienced. Start by sitting upright on a chair, feet flat on the floor, hands resting palm-down on your knees or upper legs. Turn your awareness to your sense perceptions, one by one. First, without moving your eyes, notice as much as you can of what is in your field of vision. No need to mentally comment on what you notice; just notice. See the colors and shapes, what is near and far. Notice the extent of your peripheral vision side to side, above and below.
