Graduation was on the horizon, and Jonathan and his friends were eager to leave their small world behind. But when a member of their close-knit group mysteriously disappears, a chilling unease settles in.

Someone, or something is lurking in the shadows of the tranquil wintery forest, and their weekend retreat soon becomes a nightmarish fight for survival. The story was interesting. It went down a path I did not expect. There were a couple twists in it that I did not see coming. At times it did feel like the author changed their mind about the story but overall it worked. I do feel it may been a bit rushed but it still works.

Not sure what the one reviewer was saying about the issues with narrator. I thought he did a great job with the different characters. Some parts I felt like it was two narrators but you could always tell which character was talking due to the narrator changing things up for each one. He really got into each character to the point where you almost felt like you were there. Need more narrators like that instead of some of the monotoned I have heard in past.

The story it self wasn’t necessarily my cup of tea, but the outstanding narration kept me listening. I’m always impressed with narrators who are able to read the parts of numerous characters in a way that doesn’t confuse the listener. This was my first time hearing a narration done by Jake Cline. I’m looking forward to the next.
