About this listen
Carl and Gina are both thirty. They live in Newcastle. They've been together since the test was positive when they were both fifteen. They now have three kids. Carl has never been on the dole. He's never been out of work. He's a construction worker and he works six days a week to support his family. Gina has never had a job. Her mother told her to make Carl provide because that's what the man does in 'families like ours'. Carl sees her as the mother-in-law from Hell. She constantly interferes in their lives. And Gina always takes her side over Carl.
But when Carl goes to work on a construction site on the other side of the country, meaning he's away from home from Sunday to Friday, he meets Neal who begins to show him what real love feels like. And it knocks Carl for six. He's never had feelings for another man before. He doesn't know what to do.
But when he tells Gina and he finds out what she's been up to behind his back, he gets an even bigger shock.
AUTHOR NOTE - This title was originally published by David Menon. He now uses his pen name of Mike Linden for all his queer fiction.
