It’s going to be a summer she’ll never forget.

Claire’s little sister Holly has been working on the millionaire’s playground of Martha’s Vineyard, going to barefoot beach parties and flirting with the local rich kids. But now she’s missing and none of the locals seem to care, including the police. They think a message Claire received is proof she’s safe.

But Claire knows for a fact that her sister didn’t send it.

What will she have to risk to find out the truth? Who are the locals protecting? And what does it have to do with another girl who went missing five years ago?

An unmissable psychological thriller summer listen from the #1 bestselling author, for fans of Heidi Perks, Claire Douglas and Lucy Clarke.

This story is told very well with lots of likable characters. As soon as I finished this book I downloaded another of Jenny Blackhurst's books. She is such a great storyteller.
The narration is very good, also.
One interesting thing that this American reader (listener) noted is that when British authors talk about people, women and men both, wearing "jumpers" they aren't meaning "a shoulder-to-thigh girl's dress" mostly worn by children. No. A "jumper" in Britain is more like a hoodie.

Excellent Story

I really liked how you had plenty of hints who the villain was but still kept you guessing until the last minute.

Twisty and Witty!

While I appreciate Jenny Blackhurst's writing and Laura Aikman’s narrative skills, “The Summer Girl” didn't quite hit the mark for me. I missed the British touch in the narration, as I’m particularly fond of the dialect. Nonetheless, this story has potential, following Claire's search for her missing sister Holly on Martha's Vineyard. Fans of psychological thrillers will enjoy it, even if it wasn't my cup of tea. It is available in the Audible Plus catalogue at this time.

I confess, I skipped ahead to the end – couldn’t bring myself to finish it.

Not for me, I miss the British narration…
