About this listen

A journalist and fiction author, Tom Angleberger has a knack for capturing the lives of today’s youth. In The Strange Case of Origami Yoda, socially awkward Dwight shows up to school one morning waving a green finger puppet. Strange enough, but then Dwight starts talking in a funny voice and doling out advice. Is it the puppet, or is it Dwight? And will paper Yoda be able to help Dwight convince the girl of his dreams to go to the big dance with him?

Critic reviews

“Angleberger’s rendering of such a middle-grade cult obsession is not only spot-on but also reveals a few resonant surprises hidden in the folds.” ( Booklist)

AI finally did something right

I asked AI what book I should read and this is one of the recommendations that it gave me. I know I’ve seen Star Wars before, but Star Trek is way better, and I don’t remember anything about Star Wars. Despite the characters saying Star Wars related things the whole time, this book didn’t really need any knowledge of Star Wars at all, and it’s a very fun story.

Interesting... kids liked it

This is a good book for elementary and middle schoolers. It presents an inventive way to tackle subjects and concerns for that age group. Listening to the story, I don't think kids would understand right off that they are being given advice on how to handle that stage of life, and all of the ordinary but uncomfortable things they face.

Allot better then I thought it was going to be

I got this book on special thinking my kids might like it, and since I've got allot of time by myself at work I decided I'd have a listen. It's about accepting people for their faults and believing in something more. funny and entertaining. worth your money for you and the kids

Great for Kids and Their Parents

Picked this title out for a 5 hour road trip with my 10 year old son. He LOVED it and laughed all they way through. He loved it so much that when we finished it I had to pull over at a rest area to find and download the next book in the series. Definitely would recommend this book and the whole series. Dwight is STOOCKY!
