About this listen

When developing and publishing and republishing Dwight Edgar Abbott's Prison written books: "I Cried, You Didn't Listen" & "CONSEQUENCE" The Aftermath; along with individual paintings and drawings; I became acutely aware of the single common ground that remains between societies most hardened criminals and the rest of humanity. I believe that it is this 'common ground' that can provide an opportunity for redemption, forgiveness, acceptance and understanding on both sides of even, "Level Four" Prison Walls. It is through all men and women's innate Love of creation's great and small, that healing for all who have wronged or have been wronged can, not only begin, but end in emotional, and possibly physical, Freedom. All Creation brings us together and Testifies of His Love. None stand so tall, as when they stoop to touch a living creation of God. WWW.DwightAbbott.com Story One: Titled "Convict and the Gopher: a Tail of Trust" by Dwight Abbott. It is a short introduction and story (45 pages); including illustrations of Sonny's adopted Gopher, Popcorn. Popcorn was Sonny's adopted "cellie" for Popcorn's entire life of 4.5 years. One must wonder what type of relationship might develop between the "most dangerous" of criminals and a Gopher; both, at first, reluctant to trust each other. This question will be answered in "Convict and the Gopher; a Tail of Trust." This story will enlighten all readers as to the forever 'lost humanity' of imprisoned convicts, who yet retain a hidden 'tenderness' that must forever remain hidden and unexplained; not only to the general prison population; but to an outside society that can not and/or will not give them 'another chance.' Story Two: Titled: " The Bear Necessities". (21 pages)This story was written by Dwight, about a year spent homeless in the mountains of Shasta County above Silverthorne Resort & Marina at Shasta Lake. He found himself snowed in and 'one' with many forest creatures. Story Three: Titled "The Serpents Tail" (35 pages) was written by me; Sonny's brother, Danny Abbott (aka, Skippy). I was eleven years old, when I met up with a Snake that changed my life forever; making me an Evangelist, as an adult.. Story Four: Titled "Smell what Smell?" (9 pages) was written by my cousin; Zane Jacobs. It seems Zane met up with a family of skunks and took them in. Story Five: Titled "The Legend of the Lost Lemurian Gold Mine" was written by me (Danny Abbott; LippyLemurian) (50 pages). I wrote the story after discovering a hidden portal to the bowels of Mt.Shasta in Siskiyou County, California. I found this Portal in and under a rotted tree stump below our rental cabins in Lakehead, California. (Click "Me" next to my Ebay ID) Story Six: Titled "My Affair with the Warden" ( 50 pages) was written by Sonny (Dwight Abbott) while in 'Deep SEG' at OSP (Oregon State Prison). This Story is somewhat graphic and may be deemed 'parental reading only' for youngsters; although the Storyline is totally appropriate for anyone who loves animals and I have used 'wingding' font for cuss words. Story Seven: Titled "The Waters of War" (13 pages) was written By my cousin Zane Jacobs, when he was immersed in World War Two at the tender age of 19. This story is written in the 'stereotypical language' of the day and has graphic scenes of war. Zane, approaching 90 has vivid memories of the tiniest of animals Story Eight: Titled "A Never Dying Story" (28 pages) was written by Myself, Skippy, and Sonny; as told to us by our dad; Dwight Abbott senior. It is a true story about an animal attack in a southern California desert. Story Nine: Titled Dwight and Dwight Go AWOL" (22 pages) Is about Sonny' dad's' famous escape from Folsom Prison using Bed Dummies. It also includes news clippings of both my dad and brothers escapes from Prisons. Story Ten: Titled "The Golden (Calf) Cat" (22 Pages) was written by myself about a case of mistaken identity and population explosion.
