As a mental disorder, madness lurks within us all. This essay deals with the links between madness, genius, and the self. It takes a look at some famous scientists and mathematicians and their eccentricities. This is a quick guide to how madness arises and more importantly, how we can make sense of madness.

Would you try another book from Alan Hall, PhD and/or David Winograd?
Sure! I found the author's stories engaging and the narrator's voice entertaining although annoying at times (too much embelishment). Were the concepts of this book easy to follow, or were they too technical?
The concepts were too technical and dry--that's why i gave the review only 3 stars. I found the stories easy to follow, though. This is where narrorator Winograd's cheerful voice helped/Did the narration match the pace of the story?
The narrorator spoke fast and that made the technical parts of the story hard to follow.Quick stories about crazy people.
