About this listen
The Seeker blends inspirational Visionary Fiction with Mythic Fiction in this epic reimagining of the tale of Icarus. In his plunge from glory, rather than perishing in the waters of the Aegean, Icarus is rescued by a passing mariner, fictional demigod Amitayus, who is unaware of his own divinity. The two embark on an epic odyssey, braving impediments only Zeus himself could whip up, as Amitayus seeks the truth that will earn him a place in Elysium. Told through the lens of Greek Classicism, The Seeker puts a modern spin on classic archetypes that lend it unmatched spiritual resonance.

Fun, captivating listen
This is a fantastic audiobook that I found very captivating and interesting. I liked the narrator since it was a nice balance of gravitas, seriousness and clarity/cadence. Overall audiobook is a bit long but if you enjoy it over a few long commutes or nice quiet evenings it is very entertaining!

Beautiful Tale of what Really Matters
This audiobook was a beautiful experience- not only because the story is epic and relatable and shares life lessons through story- but also because the narration added a richness and a legendary feel that somehow made it more immersive and deep.
It’s hard to press pause because there are so many mysteries and action and love scenes— it never becomes boring or rote. The only thing missing is a musical soundtrack to accompany the highs and lows of Amitayus, who is a lovable and refreshing soul.
The book will take you on a journey into myth- where you discover the main theme- our own divinity within the trials and tribulations of this lifetime. We can ride the waves of discovery alongside Icarus and Amitayus. I highly recommend THE SEEKER for its imaginative retelling, mythic wisdom and enjoyable characters— all things that make it relevant to me when I lose hope and need something to cling to. I absolutely loved it.

A impressive journey of the imagination
The fine book appealed to me in particular because of its utter originality. In its best moments, reminiscent of Mary Renault, the reader is transported to Mycenaean-era Greece, when its civilization was centered on the Aegean islands more than the mainland. The protagonist, Amitayus, seeks the meaning of his life and origins as he ultimately partners with none other than Icarus, who he rescues from the sea. Their love story was the most compelling part of the narrative for me, which includes a reimagining of gay life on one island with best friends that felt very much like the author was drawing a thread from past to present, asserting a cultural history that runs deep in our gay bones. Domingo did an extraordinary amount of research or is blessed with an amazing imagination -- both are put to unrestrained good use here, detailed in a lush prose that befits a highly visual writer. And Mr Domingo's voice is mesmerizing.
